Why is Hughie getting a free pass?
 

Seriously, this guy is made out of Teflon it seems.

He is one of those HMs that seem to be able to get away with being aggressive, snidey, and calling female HMs things like sluts, fat, and thick, before he has even met them.

And, yeah, I know he denied calling Lateysha fat, but going on his now established track record, I believe Nat over him. I have no doubt, personally, that he said it. I have no doubt he is a liar as well as everything else.


But, and I am no fan of hers as a person, Nat gets the grief for just repeating what he actually said. here's a tip Hughie, if you don't want people to repeat the crappy things you say, don't say them. :fist:

Well first of all Hughie admitted to calling her a slut and he apologised for it so all the information isn't quite there..

Hughie has more to him then just being aggressive like we've seen him both have fun and be really sweet. He's also proven to be quite reasonable in a few instances.

Hughie's aggression is also quite funny idk why it's just funny when he goes off on one. Housemates like Nikki also got away with their aggressive/bitchy behaviour because it was just amusing.

Also Hughie is only really aggressive when people attack him first I can't really think of an instance when he was the one to instigate the argument.

Lastly Hughie might just be human embodiment of God and can do no wrong.. Just a theory idk :shrug:

Everyone has first impression judgements of other people (some not so nice opinions) obviously Hughie shouldn't have called Lateysha a slag, but he isn't a bad person for making a judgement based on first impressions.

Didn't really have much of a chance tbh seeing as Natalie ratted him out minutes after being in the house... He probably even forgot about saying it because I know most the viewers did.

The whole slut comment thing has been blown way out of proportion like people are probably just clinging on to it because it's the only example of Hughie being horrible and saying something uncalled for.

I dont remember her calling anybody a slut but the way Natalke talked about it, i assume it was when they saw lateyshas vt for the first time and hughie instantly recognised her as the one from the terrible mtv show. I doubt he said it maliciously, more jokey with the rest of the house as they all battered the strangers. Natalie probably took it out of context.

When the others were shown the housemates VTs in week one, Jayne, Charlie and Ryan all agreed that Laura looked like she could be a slag and that she looked Slaggy ...
They all made assumptions about the housemates based on what little info they had.

And Lateysha did look like a slut with her side boobs hanging out ...Huey wasn't lying about that....even Laura and couple others said their first impression on entering the house was totally different to the one they now have having got to know her...

I totally agree with the OP

Natalie and Hughie are as argumentative as each other but she seems to be shouldering the blame every single time they clash...infact Hughie never gets the blame, even when Alex tried to stop Hughie and Jackson arguing Alex was heaped with blame even though Hughie was the clear aggressor.

He's absolutely awful and the worst one in there by a mile, he's literally irrelevant without somebody to clash with unless you like a fake as fook showmance. He's clearly not interested in Ryan but he'll be aware it'll get him airtime.

He only apologized to Lateysha because he was caught out, he called Natalie a 'lardy arse' apparently during their fight in the bedroom so it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he's called Lateysha fat too.

Once Natalie is gone and there is no clear scapegoat for people to blame for his aggression his true colours will be clear to people I hope.

Because a lot of people can see that behind all of the shouting and the short temper, that he is a really nice guy and he is not malicious at all. Maybe that's why he's doing so well in online polls :shrug:

I hope his popularity is as fleeting as Charlie's was.

Honestly I think it's because he sounds funny when he argues but I'm not a fan at all, i think he's sneaky

A really nice guy who calls people he's never met fat, trampy and slaggy on TV. He's totally Prince Charming.

I'll speak for myself, thanks. I've never scapegoated Natalie, I fully believe that she's been in the wrong everytime they've clashed. I suggest you actually know what a scapegoat is before throwing the word around just because it's an easy term to pull out when you want to stick up for someone.

Natalie aggressively causes trouble, Hughie aggressively reacts, that's the big difference in their clashes. The same stands for the row with Jackson and Alex, he only kicked off because everyone was talking down to him just for making a suggestion that they didn't like.

This is really sad but thank **** you see it! I always think of you, Lostie and Vicky as the voices of reason on here the last few series so if you see it I feel vindicated in feeling the way I do about him :laugh:

No, if only....doesn't make her a slut, it makes her look like one ....and nowt wrong with that if that's the look you wanna go for but don't then belly ache about it when people form the wrong impression of you because of it.
Lateysha created her own situation ...no one thought Georgina looked like a slut and the reason for that is because she wasn't dressed like a porn star.
It's very simple.

Hughie hasn't shown bullying tendencies unlike Jackson, Alex, Chelsea and Natalie. People like him because he's not afraid to stand up for himself and he's funny when he does it

But Hughie's comments aren't much different to most people's first impressions of her on here on Launch Night.

Seriously everyone makes pre-judgements before getting to know people so why is Hughie being held at such a high standard?
