Channel 5 to AXE Big Brother due to Ratings Crisis?
Big Brother ratings are in crisis this series, with audiences falling under 1 million viewers (excluding +1).
Big Brother has been beaten by ITV2's Love Island, a show made on a fraction of the budget Big Brother has and on a much smaller chance. Younger viewers are deserting Big Brother, with viewers aged 16 to 35 preferring Love Island and European football coverage. Reports suggest Channel 5 will AXE the civilian version of Big Brother and are already trying to sabotage the show by airing Monday's episode against a huge England football match. Insiders at Channel 5 say VIACOM who own the channel want to get rid of the normal BB version and bring fresh new shows into the schedule. |
Considering they have been better this year than last... Try again, new account

Hasnt it been confirmed it will continue until at least 2018?

BB is still C5's flagship show, if it didn't get cancelled last year it won't get cancelled this year when ratings are generally up.

I hope it is true and it gets closed down. The CH5 can sell it back to CH4 for peanuts and let them do the show properly with BBLB and with proper presenters and proper producers.
