Japanese Big Brother - Terrace House (A Netflix Series)

Anyone else watched this on Netflix? It's soo good, so authentic it's amazing to watch. There are no fights, one kiss at most in a season, just genuine human beings living in a house. Subtitles too so anyone can watch it. Everyone is so polite and kind it's fascinating and Mizuki is bae

What is exactly its format? Do they all stay the whole length of the series? No voting/winner?

wHAT
IS IT ON NETFLIX UK?!

It's basically three guys and three girls who live there for a couple months. But they have contact with the outside world and go to work and everything but you get to watch their daily interactions, super interesting and SUCH a different take on reality tv, it was really fascinating for me.

There is no public vote or competition, it really simply is a social experiment.

Lemme know what you think of it man! :)

T* 29-06-2016 12:47 AM

In the first 10 mins, I like everyone so far! It's crazy too see the different culture and how they point out questions like 'I can see your pit sweat' to someone they've just met rather than over here it would be ignored for politeness or only pointed out by close friends

T* 29-06-2016 12:52 AM

It's so refreshing to see it all more centred towards the social experiment- I love the fact there's no music or anything, just simple editing and soft graphics- it's like watching BB1 again. Sort of.

T* 29-06-2016 12:58 AM

Well, there's occasional music but it's BACKGROUND. Emphasis on background, BBUK- not distracting, not DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN

T* 29-06-2016 01:45 AM

2nd episode in... And I'm hooked

Think of it as The Real World (now known simply as Real World) meets Big Brother.

T* 29-06-2016 02:40 AM

I wouldn't even compare it to TRW if I'm honest

T* 29-06-2016 02:41 AM

It's so natural if I'm honest. It feels real. I like it.

Raph 29-06-2016 07:09 AM

I'm so glad you like it Tom! Such a little gem of a discovery.

And I have such a crush on Mizuki :blush2:

y.winter 29-06-2016 07:35 AM

I'll try and watch it after I'm done with HIMYM9. Watching BB alone with working 8 to 5 is demanding enough, so maybe I'll leave it to weekends :)

LukeB 05-07-2016 10:34 AM

I'll be watching this later I think

Raph 05-07-2016 10:44 AM

Definitely let me know what you think! :D

Braden 05-07-2016 10:53 AM

I might watch an episode of this soon. On paper it doesn't seem too appealing (no fights D:), but I do like the 'social experiment' part that has been mentioned on here.

LukeB 05-07-2016 10:57 AM

No fights sounds fantastic because they actually get boring

Will do :D

Braden 05-07-2016 11:19 AM

Conflict is what makes BB interesting for me. I rarely get bored of it :p

This will be cool to watch though. The Japanese culture interests me, so I appreciate why there wouldn't be any fighting.

I'm on E4 atm and I love this show already, I love them all especially yuriko.. this show is perfect and it's so interesting and fascinating
