Battle Back Comp... do you like this twist?

Personally I like it, and think its the best of the 3 they have going. I dont like the teams and roadkill is even worse. However battle back seems interesting, it makes them fight to return and the others will be shocked when someone returns.

They just stole the idea from Survivor Redemption Island.

Braden 01-07-2016 01:50 PM

Depends how it plays out. The concept itself doesn't bother me tbh, but I don't doubt for a second that the competitions themselves will be constructed around any veteran's strengths to ensure they come back (if one of them does get evicted.)

Poor Glenn doesn't stand a chance

Fingers crossed for a dog grooming challenge

I really ****ing hope not!

He's gotta' win four head-to-head comps to return so i think we can safely so that he WILL NOT be returning! I'll be shocked if he even wins a single comp!

The guy is honestly one of the most retarded housemates in BB history. I don't think it would even be fair on him to feed his ridiculous delusions at all. The guy needs a severe reality check.

And in general i think when someone's evicted they should stay evicted. Things like this are just eating away at the fundamental concept of Big Brother.

Its just Redemption Island all over again except they are all going to be locked up in a hotel for a month before they even get to compete once. Poor Glenn has had to stay there the longest only for a very small chance of getting back into the game. That being said we all knew that someone was going to come back at some point so I am not bothered by that or this.

There'll probably be a Jury returnee comp too

Braden 01-07-2016 04:13 PM

Well, the jury returnee will probably come back through this 'Battle Back' competition too.

A total RI rip off at that rate

That's certainly a strong possibility.

JerseyWins 01-07-2016 04:55 PM

Bring back Papa G. :clap1:

StephenPullen 01-07-2016 04:56 PM

Bring back Glenn! The Messiah will not be resurrected this time around

JerseyWins 01-07-2016 05:04 PM

Glenn is the real Messiah

Jack_ 01-07-2016 05:35 PM

I'm yet to catch up with this season but from what I hear it's an interesting idea but seems a little unfair? The first and second evictees have to win loads of comps, the last only needs to win one

I waaaay prefer pre-jury buybacks to juror ones though so I'm happy they're doing this, generally speaking more good houseguests leave earlier than later

Macie Lightfoot 01-07-2016 05:41 PM

"we just had to get rid of the worst-received twist ever in franchise history, so...... let's try the worst-received twist in Survivor history? Yeah, that sounds good."

alol, I don't even give a **** about Redemption Garage at this point. This is like the fourth or fifth safety net for Grodner's precious pigs in case anyone is evicted pre-jury, and I'm sure part of this comes down to the fact that BB17 is viewed as a massive failure because ****ing Da'Vonne and Jason were pre-jury boots

It could be worse though, I guess. We should be thankful it's not America's Choice or summat.

Calderyon 01-07-2016 06:39 PM

Kind of in between. I like it and dislike it.

Like it because itīs something different on BB, dislike, because itīs most likely another ploy to protect the returneés.

I don't mind it just on the sole basis that we always knew someone was going to come back and if you think about it, it really is one of the more fair ways of bringing someone back. At least it wasn't a stupid fan vote or having to play shuffleboard to decide who comes back.

EspeonBB 01-07-2016 08:04 PM

Not really but it will depend on the outcome

It was awful on Survivor and I think this is just another safety net for the vets in case one of them gets evicted pre-jury
