You wonder how on earth this happened. Who would deliberately shoot at a baby?

REALLY. p.s. I have just finished giving my beautiful, innocent, trusting and totally helpless and vulnerable little 7 months old baby granddaughter her bottle. While I feed her, her tiny little fingers grip around my finger. Her big blue eyes stare up at me, searching my face and KNOWING I love her. Her litlte toothless smile is worth a £million. How the feck does ANYTHING like SHOOTING a baby even go through anyone's mind???? |
Awful story :(
But yeah - it doesn't really say what the connection of the two people arrested was. |

..it was a tragic accident, the two people that were arrested are friends of the mother...negligence maybe at leaving the air rifle loaded but the person who shot the child was told that the gun wasn't loaded and he didn't purposefully pull the trigger either...there was no intent or evil so far as I can see...
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...air-rifle.html ..a similar-ish accident happened a little while ago near where I live, which was also an accident and the child sadly died...I think it's more looking into the keeping of air rifles and air guns... |
Poor baby... Anything can be lethal around a child but air rifles, guns etc should never be in the same house, let alone the same room as a child that age. Hope the baby makes a full recovery
|
So sad, hope he pulls through :(

Poor kid. How do we have so many ****ing idiots in this world/ I don't care if it was apparently an 'accident'...it takes a special kind of dickhead to be messing with something like that where kids are to begin with.

Truth will out I suppose, but I am cynical. |

Poor little kid. |

Regarding a loaded air rifle being in the same room as a child, and an adult actually picking it up while the child was there, I will stay cynical though I'm afraid, because it beggars belief. |
A 24-year-old man has pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm after a one-year-old baby was shot in the head with an air pistol in Bristol.
Jordan Walters appeared at Bristol Magistrates Court on Monday. The child, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, is in a critical condition with head injuries at Bristol Children's Hospital. Police were called to a flat in Bishport Avenue in the Hartcliffe area of Bristol shortly after 4pm on Friday when neighbours reported hearing a child "screaming and screaming". Walters and his partner Emma Jane Horseman, 23, were both charged over the incident. Horseman has not yet entered a plea to a charge of aiding or abetting Walters to commit the offence. Prosecutor Lucy Coleman told the court: "The Crown's case is that Mr Walters is the owner of an air pistol. Miss Horseman is his partner." She said the child was visiting Walters and Horseman with his mother when the air gun was fired. "Unfortunately the gun was loaded," Miss Coleman said. The prosecutor said Walters made a 999 shortly afterwards. "During the call Mr Walters said he thought the gun was empty and he had accidentally shot the one-year-old child," she added. http://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews...cid=spartandhp |
