Why people are obsessed with haircuts to this day?

Niamh. 12-07-2016 01:25 PM

fgs

DemolitionRed 12-07-2016 01:27 PM

This has been going on for years though. Boys in my school were not allowed to have skinhead haircuts and neither of our sons were allowed to have them either.

smudgie 12-07-2016 01:37 PM

On the positive side..he won't catch nits.

Amy Jade 12-07-2016 01:42 PM

You weren't allowed skinheads in my old school either and girls weren't allowed side shaves :worry:

Northern Monkey 12-07-2016 01:59 PM

I had that haircut for a while at school and it was fine.I don't see how it will affect his work any way.Ridiculous

Alf 12-07-2016 02:18 PM

Well kids, if you want to take the day of school, then you know what to do.

Ferris Bueller got it all wrong.

jennyjuniper 12-07-2016 02:23 PM

Idiots.

Livia 12-07-2016 02:34 PM

And we're absolutely sure that his haircut is the only reason he's been excluded?

from the reports yes

I hope a Tibber in that Zone will
have watched local news

On 1 on my 5 HD TV's at 6PM Sharp
STV1HD from my SatHD box
may have a expanded report on this.

joeysteele 12-07-2016 03:01 PM

Totally ridiculous.

andybigbro 12-07-2016 03:03 PM

Ridiculous.

Its hair ffs. That school needs a kick up the arse.

kirklancaster 12-07-2016 04:49 PM

It is a very weird decision by the school, because a total shave like this is not as outlandish as Mohican's, Shaved Sides or luminous dyed hair, and as Smudgie says, it is one way to ensure that he does not catch head lice.

It seems highly unlikely tbh.

I mean technically it's a lack of it that's the problem here

What caused the stereotyping, the haircut or the hoodie?....

Ammi 13-07-2016 03:40 AM

Budehaven School headteacher David Barton said he was off site when the incident occurred and described it as a 'misunderstanding'.

He said: 'I hope that Joshua is back in school (soon), and in class with his friends.

'It might be that Joshua's hair is a bit shorter than we would like, but it's probably not extreme and there may have been a bit of a misunderstanding between the school and his Mum.

'Our uniform policy doesn't mention hair, and maybe in future it should.

'This incident will probably prompt us to take another look at that aspect of the uniform policy.

'It wasn't our decision that Joshua should have not been at school (on Monday).'

..I'm not sure what the misunderstanding was exactly but the article says that the head has tried to communicate and sort it out but it would seem that mum has chosen to carry on keeping him away from his education and communicate with the DM instead....
