Have just realised that I havent made my usual complaint

Have just realised that I havent been able to make my usual complaint about "Ageism" for this series. My complaints Usually, start with the lack of of older house mates, ie anyone over the age of 35. Followed by the treatment the token older housemates get, such as being nominated because of their age ie Eileen last year. Then comes the ageism on the forums, which has been minimal this year.
Like them or loathe the older housemates this year have all contributed to the action, and some of them have lasted longer than they usually do. I think that producers this year have got the age mix right this year.
Even though its taken me 5 weeks to figure out that I shall have to find something else to moan about this year!

I think Jayne is a testiment that older housemates are integral to Big Brother, she's been utterly fantastic.

As for ageism on the forum, seems the older generation look down on the younger far more than the younger do the older.

Still a little too heavy with the 18-25 year old TOWIE moulds but it's going in the right direction

Older housemates as good in every way as the younger ones this year ...some ageism from Lateysha but on the whole the others aren't biggoted at all.
This week it's changed as they seem to be being targeted in the task but I think that's more to do with the threat they pose.

The weird thing is some of the TOWIE types are actually 30 eg Laura and Emma, Charlie 31 (apparently) and Alex is pushing 30.

Georgina is 26. Only 18-25 are Hughie, Sam, Lateysha, Jackson and Marco

As an older forum member I would like to state that I don't feel I look down on anyone, whether they are younger/older than myself.
Some of the things that younger members say or do may shock me, because I grew up in a time where people were brought up to be polite and have pride in hard work and personal achievment. It seems more and more often that people want something for nothing and seem to admire people with loose morals and offensive behaviour.
I have to admit that on this forum I have not experienced much negative attitudes towards me as an older person and that is one of the reasons I like coming to this site.:wavey:

I much prefer older HMs, cause I feel I can relate to them more than the younger HMs.

Well I'm coming up to 40,I don't class myself as old,I'de like to say that there are a lot of young members on this site that are lovely and some older ones that are grumpy, for me it's nothing to do with the age of a person it's the persona they give off and I have found most people on this site friendly and funny, young and old,but you always get the odd few ,no one is going to like everyone and everyone will not like me, we just have to get on with it,but on the whole Tibb is a pretty friendly bunch :wavey:

Im coming up to 64 and I know im grumpy, but its the younger ones that make me grumpy by their actions so im excused on that one, its all their fault. Kids these days just cant behave the right way that winds me up and brings out the victor Meldrew in me.
