Turning off the daylight

When I leave home for work, I leave at around 07:00. During the winter months, it is dark so I need to turn off the lights.

Now we have lighter mornings I do not need to turn off lights.

The trouble is, sometimes I go to switch off the light, only to realise that I am trying to turn off the daylight.

Am I the only one who does this :conf:

steve_o 22-04-2003 06:32 PM

Errmm... yep I think so Sticks:laugh: watch out for the fella's in white coats.

:spin:

Romantic Old Bird 22-04-2003 06:33 PM

Sticks, I still turn on the lights anyway. Not to mention putting the teapot in the fridge on occasion.

It is all part of the human condition......:conf:....well my condition anyway............

Boris 22-04-2003 07:29 PM

Have you ever poured the PACKET of tea into the teapot instead of the tea caddy ???

See we are ALL at it.

Daft bats the lot.

I don't drink tea any more...it got too expensive - and veRY strong !:hugesmile::shocked:

I do admit that, on a few occasions, I've gone upstairs and then stood on the landing wondering what I'd gone upstairs for!! :bawling::bawling::bawling:

BTW does anyone say thankyou to ATMs ?

Talking of ATM's

One morning in the winter, I was at an ATM here in Newcastle i.e England. There was a queue behind me, so for fun I said "It's not giving out any Deutchmarks" (a currency superceded by the Euro) and one women gave up and walked away

I wonder if they ever twigged :hugesmile:

She Devil 16-08-2004 07:24 PM

I always say thank you to the cash point.

Hooly One 16-08-2004 07:34 PM

 Do you really SD?

She Devil 16-08-2004 07:40 PM

Yeah. I get embarressed if there's someone behind me.

I'm just thankful that there's money in the damn thing.

She Devil 16-08-2004 07:41 PM

I've also said sorry to a lampost after walking into it.

Hooly One 16-08-2004 07:49 PM

Romantic Old Bird 16-08-2004 07:54 PM

I always thank the cash till, it's only polite!

In fact I carry on silent conversations with myself in the car, in the gym, in meetings .......anywhere really.

Doesn't everyone?

She Devil 16-08-2004 07:57 PM

I bet you've done some silly things Hooly.

I'm a very polite person. I was in hospital once having my appendix removed and my nurse said that I was the most polite person she'd ever met. I was the only one that said thankyou after each injection I had in my belly.

Have you ever sat and thought about something someone said that was funny and just burst out laughing. I do that alot, infact my husband just looks at me strange now, instead of asking whats so funny.

Have you ever lost your car keys and then found them in the fridge?

have you ever driven in the dark and forgot to put your lights on, and then wonder why every other car is flashing their lights at you?

Have you ever been that desperate for a wee on the way home from some club that you piddle in the bush?
