I didn't know until tonight that the 20k

Would have come off the prize fund even if no one pressed the button :oh: what numpties wouldn't want to press

Jake. 16-07-2016 12:11 AM

none of us knew either

Visage 16-07-2016 12:15 AM

I just assumed they told the housemates and didn't air that part to the viewers to make it more dramatic.

Then again, if they didn't tell the housemates at the time it might be the reason why some of them didn't press it.

The dirty robbing bastards.

Northern Monkey 16-07-2016 12:20 AM

I did'nt know either. If nobody heard it maybe they messed up and forgot to mention that bit.

Amy Jade 16-07-2016 12:26 AM

I don't remember anyone mentioning it either

MB. 16-07-2016 12:27 AM

I doubt the producers knew

Shaun 16-07-2016 01:35 AM

It wasn't in the explanation that was aired so fair enough. Think it was just Emma making up something to tie in with her questioning.

Jack_ 16-07-2016 01:40 AM

I did wonder if they would've just had to stand there until someone pressed the button, since they never said they had a minute or anything like they did with the White Room

Shaun 16-07-2016 01:42 AM

Emma breaking in from the runners to press it before breaking back out again?

zakman440 16-07-2016 02:08 AM

Can't remember whether it was shown on the highlights or not, but this was announced on BOTS:

Cherie 16-07-2016 10:01 AM

Thanks Zac, I completely missed that

thesheriff443 16-07-2016 10:06 AM

I did not know that, but it's big brothers way of making someone press the button to get the episode they wanted.

Cherie 16-07-2016 10:10 AM

It also negates Alex's argument that he wouldn't take 20k out of someone's picket as the money was going out of the fund either way, so it makes Hughies point about the 5 k perfectly valid :hee:

kirklancaster 16-07-2016 10:25 AM

It also renders anyone's grouse that Jason robbed £20K off the eventual winner as rubbish - whether anyone knew or not.

That was aired but I think a lot of viewers missed it and surely to god this dumb flock, who probably didn't know to pi55, sh!t or be sick when it was announced -no doubt it went unnoticed with them.

So in their minds it was coming out of the fund only if someone chose to take it.

We still don't know whether the 10k has come off the prize fund, no one has said either way. It would be reasonable to assume that it has though- imho.

Hughie wants the pot to remain as large as possible because he thinks he's a shoe in to win it.
