Clearly plenty are happy to make their mouths go but not so eager to challenge publicly.

I prefer Owen to Angela but will be supporting Jeremy Corbyn over either.

It is an awful choice between those 2 I agree.

Owen Who?

LeatherTrumpet 17-07-2016 07:28 PM

Its actually shocking and shows that "labour" are a spent force. Socialism is dead. Liberalism is dead.

Its time for something new and realistic - Eagle is one of the worst candidates in living memory and i would be ashamed if i was a lefty. If any are left?

Owen Money - because if elected and voted into number 10, when those 2 clowns are through we all will be.

No, I will stick with Labour thanks, no way do I want to be part of these current Conservatives.

I feel I am going to have to move to Scotland and more likely support the SNP if things do not improve South of the Border.
Never the Conservatives however,I have just about closed the book on that one.

As much because of some of their supporters than the Party itself.
I'd rather UKIP to the conservatives now.

Labour are making me sad.

Back to the glory days of Gordon and Ed?

bitontheslide 17-07-2016 08:54 PM

none of the candidates are my cup of tea. I see myself as a fairly typical voter, and there is no way i would ever vote for any of these candidates for government at a GE. Ed was bad, but this trio take it to a whole new level. The party does have some great leaders in there, I want to know the reason none of them will stand because thats the root of the real issue.

Because you get one shot at leadership and all of them want to wait until the party is stronger. The vast majority of politicians are fuelled by personal ambition - not ideology - e.g. the BoJo / Brexit fiasco.

That is so true TS.

All the impressive Labour moderates are afraid of stepping up. Where are the likes of Chuka Umanna and Dan Jarvis? Owen Smith is coming off better than Eagle for me but lets be fair - to most of the country he is a complete non-entity

Yes MTVN
they are waiting for the BlairLabour Split
round the corner.......

Northern Monkey 18-07-2016 12:17 PM

I honestly won't be voting in the next GE at this rate.

bitontheslide 18-07-2016 12:52 PM

i think there is more to it than not wanting to blow it. These guys are ambitious, and that is usually accompanied by incredible self-belief. They take their chance, and go for it. Something else is going on, I'm more and more certain of it.
