The first lady position is a ceremonial one. So to the plagarism allegation my first thought was who cares? Michael...er...Michelle didn't believe the words of her speech. That should be the controversy. Melenia though she is not originally from the US I like her better than Michelle.

Really? I think he needs to think about more about the support he's getting from right wingers. Anyone noticed a number of prominent Republicans are still not supporting him. They've even refused to attend the RNC rally. Unheard of, George HW Bush has endorsed every GOP candidate since he left office but not Trump. Poppa Bush was Reagans VP for 8 years Reagan the man who Trumps compares himself to. His top man is not endorsing Trump/. Add to that Cheney, Rumsfeld, Lindsay Graham all not turning up. If this happened with the Democrats it would have been huge but thats the leftist media for you clearly concentrating on Melanias speech.

I don't think there can be any question that she filched it from Michelle Obama's speech, but they do say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I'm beginning to worry about Trump's increasingly evident reluctance to spend money on his campaign though - inefficient PR people who keep messing up, and now his wife nicking a speech when it is abundantly clear that SOMEONE was going to notice. What is wrong with spending a ew dollars on speech writers? I'd have wrote her one for a tenner:laugh:
