Passport requirements

So I'm going to Italy on Sunday and my passport runs out like Mid august, I will be back in like the 2nd August, should this be ok?

hijaxers 22-07-2016 12:40 PM

Probably fine but if its a 10 year passport i think you can apply to have it extended.

_Tom_ 22-07-2016 12:44 PM

I think you answered your own question

LukeB 22-07-2016 12:47 PM

If your passport runs out after the 2nd august you should be okay, but get a new one when you get back its not needed but its better to get it done then rather stressing about it in the future.

Vicky. 22-07-2016 12:50 PM

It will be fine up until the day it actually expires

Will. 22-07-2016 12:51 PM

That's a relief, thanks all.

I'm sure it's 6 months for visa destinations

• That you need 6 months of validly on your passport to travel anywhere outside the UK (Not True)

Most travel agents will often tell you that you need to have 6 months worth of validity on your current UK Passport, but this is only true for those travelling outside of Europe to the Middle East & Asia. If you are unsure there is an easy way to check the validity entry requirements for the country you are travelling to:
Will you will be fine.

This is for places such as USA where you need a visa

What would be the point in it being unable to be used 6 months before expiry date for everywhere...whats the point of an expiry date if thats not the case :p

Why on earth not? We booked a holiday the day before the flight left and managed to get a week in benidorm for 4 people for 300 quid overall. Later you leave it, the better the deal is :D
