aaand i'm going next saturday for the first time
thanks so much daily mail for putting my anxious mind at ease! :)

Northern Monkey 27-07-2016 04:51 PM

Judging by recent events in Europe this threat should be taken with extreme seriousness.

andybigbro 27-07-2016 04:54 PM

This is outrageous! This has to stop.

Propaganda from the Daily Mail as per, apparently Magaluf was going to be targeted whilst I was there but it wasn't!

Liberty4eva 27-07-2016 04:56 PM

I don't think it makes sense for them to attack the churches. They usually preach tolerance to all including Muslims. I really think they do want to provoke a race/religious war.

A terrorist attack in London has been "highly likely" since August 2014 so whilst there is an obvious threat, I wouldn't start building a bomb shelter just yet

VanessaFeltz. 27-07-2016 04:58 PM

and west army is still doing NOTHING.

Great job honestly they are letting everyone suffer.

the principles remain the same as they have done for the last couple of years. Stay alert and vigilant, apart from that carry on as usual. Our security forces are amongst the very best in the world, so there aren't many safer places than the UK.

So are France's.I saw a documentary on how they responded to the Charlie Hebdo attack and they were very competent and worked intellegently to capture the terrorists.Unfortunately they can't couldn't stop the actual attack. Our security services have stopped many planned attacks on British soil but with the primitive weapons and methods these terrorists are using now there are things that cannot be stopped.Things like the lorry in France and stabbings etc.Our one small advantage is that we are not on mainland Europe and thankfully now can stop free movement of people from the Europe.

Waiting to see how the BBC will describe such an attack.

"Two Muslim immigrants die in an explosion in Westminster. 43 Britons accidentally caught in the firing line".

I don't see how "being alert and vigilant" can help against the likes of being shot, stabbed, blown up in a confined space or having a lorry driven at you or whatever tactic they come up with next tbh

It means you lay flat
avoiding the spray of bullets

I think its for like, looking out for backpacks that have been abandoned in crowded areas, looking for exits in shops/restaurants before you get comfortable, and any other suspicious behaviour.

vigilance can catch many a suspect before they get a chance to do anything. Being alert and aware of your surroundings, can better prepare you to react to events around you. Pretty obvious really

Was just looking at the bomb scare at Charing Cross and the huge crowd and all I could think was man ISIS's juices must be flowing looking at that large prey. Help us all :(
