PYONGYANG, North Korea — North Korea’s top diplomat for U.S. affairs told The Associated Press on Thursday that Washington “crossed the red line” and effectively declared war by putting leader Kim Jong Un on its list of sanctioned individuals, and said a vicious showdown could erupt if the U.S. and South Korea hold annual war games as planned next month.

Basically Kim gets offended by anything to do with him so risks the killing of millions of lives because he can't contain a tantrum.

The world would be a better place without him being in power

It's just grandstanding. NK doesn't have the resources to go to war with anyone.

This country does no good and serves no purpose other than being a stern warning over what awaits us if Socialism/Collectivism is allowed to be taken to its logical end. Let them declare war. The war would last about .42 seconds.

Not sure their relations with China are even that strong anymore, earlier this year they got joint sanctions from both China and US

They haven't actually declared war, they're accusing the US of effectively declaring war on them. They wouldn't be so stupid as to actually formally declare war themselves

I think China are pulling away slightly from NK however China have their own issues with the US over the south China sea.They've had standoffs in the past in that area.They are currently having an economic/media/internet war.
However Kim Jong is full of wind.He's trying to flex his muscles again.It's debatable whether NK has a missile which could reach US soil yet.They would probably attack SK or Japan and US would start by sending supplies in by air.When NK was weaker then the US would go in,finish the job and claim victory.

Even if North Korea has actually declared war, I don' think it'd take up a whole lot of the USA's time.

I think the US would employ peashooters and catapults in a dawn attack by hang glider.

It depends how and where they decide to fight i reckon.I mean look at Vietnam,Iraq,Afghan.They all took much longer than predicted.NK spends a massive amount of its budget on its military.I don't think they'd be a pushover.They would obviously lose but it would take some time i think.

There's very little money in NK, people dying in the streets of starvation is a regular occurrence outside of the main cities and there's little money coming in from outside the country.

They can't do **** and they won't do **** since it would just be an invitation for the US to clear out the Kim Jong Il Dictatorship.
