Snobbish Diva?

She comes across like she feels she's superior than others and also very snobbish diva..

Ammi 30-07-2016 05:48 AM

...she doesn't seem snobbish to me..I think maybe a bit intense/serious atm and more in her Loose Women vibe of trying to initiate conversations, rather than just to let it flow naturally and chill a bit...I think she'll settle though, it's just initial adjusting for her...she seems like she's going to be a good housemate I think...I like that she got the game-play going straight away...

joeysteele 30-07-2016 06:49 AM

I am not sure myself about her yet,she seems to want to be distant.

Robodog 30-07-2016 06:50 AM

Saira: "How dare you accuse me of thinking you are a racist! You must apologise to me for making such an offensive accusation (even though i did just say that! And i know you are only joking now to try and lighten the atmosphere)
By the way, in all seriousness, to repeat my earlier question. Are you a racist? I think you are, so if you want to avoid me then that's fine. Please help me. Please be a racist. I'm desperate for someone in there to be a racist. My whole game plan depends on it. "

Looking for the most judgemental bigot of the house, Saira? Maybe try one of the mirrors?

I agree, Ammi. She seems very straightforward and open to me in her conversations, rather than approaching them with an agenda.

I think she's very interested in discussing different opinions and her objectivity can be misinterpreted by people who are used to reacting emotionally to things.

yea, it looks as she is looking for racist person in the house and then confront it, and become a righteous and sanctimonious one.

I rest my case ...

Robodog 30-07-2016 07:17 AM

Sadly there are lots of people like that these days who are actively looking for ways to be 'offended' or who are looking for people to be 'offended by'.

And if they don't find what they are looking for: they try and make it up (as we saw last night with Saira trying to throw 'racist' dirt on James, who is clearly too intelligent and broad-minded to be racist).

There's a phrase for people who do what Saira did last night: they are a grievance looking for a cause.

I know what you mean, Robodog, and would be among the first to condemn that behaviour if I believed that's what Saira was doing, but she wasn't.

And, if you believe that James Whale is broadminded, you need to do a bit more research.

just awful so far

100% Superior ,I liked her night one,but saw a different side to her last night, how DARE she question James on HIS beliefs ? and she can pack it in ramming her "cause" down my neck, another Michelle Visage :bored: ....All a load of utter BS ,she's not in there for any cause ,she's in there for herself as they all are ,she just chasing the Pakistani vote as Visage chased the gay vote
Fake as ...... and she needs to keep her opinions to herself

Thanks for the 'lack of research' assumption/accusation. I've listened to James for years and while i often didn't agree with him (or even like him) i know that he's broad-minded enough not to be racist !

As for what Saira was doing last night, she showed remarkable double-standards. She found it 'offensive' that James jokingly said 'Saira thinks i'm a racist' but she didn't find it offensive to seriously suggest that James was a racist!

"If you are racist James, i can just stay out of your way that's fine" etc Terrible, low-blow attempt at mud-slinging. Good to see James shrug it off, stay positive and even befriend Saira despite it. Hopefully her prejudiced mind-set will be softened in time.

Not people writing off Saira night one

Northern Monkey 30-07-2016 08:44 AM

Seems like the type who will try and fund racism or sexism or some kind of offence in everything anyone says.

smudgie 30-07-2016 09:06 AM

She is coming across as awful.
Trying to come across as this great journalist, looking for stories of interest, faking horror at the mention of a vibrator etc.
She is a woman of the world for heavens sake, nothing would/should surprise her so she just makes herself look fake.
Her stupid attack on James Whale was pathetic, you can't start a conversation up with calling someone a racist the first time you meet just because you have seen them tagged on the internet, at least get to know them and find out for yourself.
She has made a few enemies in that house within 24 hours, don't really fancy her chances of ducking the moms after this week.

I've met him and he's a bigoted twat!

I've never met him (or you) so i couldn't comment on your personal experience.

I've never felt that way about him myself, but this is BB - who knows what will happen or which way things will turn!

So far, Saira seems like the most bigoted one in the house, by that i mean she seems very quick to pigeon-hole people and judge them for it from her own self-superior standpoint. We saw elements of that last night in the way she was with James, Marnie and Chloe.

Shaun 30-07-2016 01:59 PM

Heaven forbid someone isn't a fan of talking about how they use vibrators two hours after meeting someone...

Why is she not allowed to question his beliefs? It's within her rights to discuss other people's opinions.

As for your second point, that's just plain ridiculous. If she was going to chase votes why would she target such a specific audience and not a broad one like women or the gays who make up a large part of the voting audience? You've only made that statement because of the colour of her skin.

SHES using the colour of her skin not me,and she's no right whatsoever to question him ,if I were him I would tell her to mind her own bloody business
