The legend that is.....James Whale

Amazing moment when he poured the coffee onto that idiot's head...what imbeciles they are. Heavy D wanting desperately to be with the 'in' boys....why would you want to be like them...ughhhh....their parents must be so proud!

It's been obvious that Bear is a nasty bully from day 1, but I was surprised that Lewis quickly drifted into the same roll, and even more surprised to see Mr Always Happy Boom Boom also showing himself to be perhaps the biggest bully of the three of them. I thought for a minute James would punch one of the two thugs who were attacking him, I would have, and even though he shouldn't have raised the stakes with coffeegate maybe it was a safe way to diffuse his anger.

I think if that was on the outside Bear would have thumped James.

I'm in a strange place here but whilst I find Bear aggressive and abhorrent, he also makes me laugh out loud most with the things he says.

Last night watching the HLs I was.:joker::joker:

I wanna say they're threatened by him because of his knowledge 'Knowledge is power' etc...

But I'm not sure they would actually understand that reason.

So it's fine for James to pour coffee over Bear, because of the people involved. However when it's replicated the other way around, apparently then it's not. Convenient.

That's not how it started though was it?

Sure I think James shouldn't have retaliated in the way he did, but you start poking at someone and they will hit back eventually.

I don't think the guys were in the right at all - but they weren't doing anything harmful, they were having a laugh. They should have stopped when he said so, but if he didn't like it I don't understand why he didn't walk away instead of adding fuel to the fire.

I guess it is down to what type of behaviour one finds acceptable.

Personally I felt they were antagonising James, rubbing his head singing "Horny" and basically surrounding him so he couldn't move anywhere.

Perhaps he didn't want to walk away and give the impression they had intimidated out of the kitchen area.

I don't think James Whale is one to be intimidated by a group of young guys. I just think removing yourself from a situation is the more mature thing to do, if you don't want to be in their company (which he even admitted himself afterwards that is what he should have done).

At least he admitted he should have done that, did any of the 3 morons admit they should have left him to make his coffee when he asked them to?

Since we don't have 24/7 live feed, that's something we'll probably never know.

...most of them were not aware of the provocation...and 2/3 of them nominated him for starting it. :fist:

Well the guy should be allowed to make a coffee...also he was probably still annoyed with their behaviour the night before.
He knows he should have walked away and at least he was big enough to own it and apologise.

Yet when Marnie apologised, apparently it was 'insincere', but James' apology earns him respect. How does that work?

I'd just like to add, James' was conveniently just before nominations as well.

Ant. 02-08-2016 05:38 PM

it's weird considering I'd think Bear would be average and James would be the worst housemate of the series

to think James was the only housemate to be booed. Undeserved. If he is evicted on Friday, he better leave to a good reception

hot2go 02-08-2016 05:59 PM

I like his nerve...who else would pour a packet of coffee over Bear like that ...genius

Alf 02-08-2016 06:45 PM

James poured the coffee over the wrong person, he should have poured it over Chubby Checker.

Bear is a nobody, he's what I'd call a punch bag, runs his mouth off and then gets beat up every time.

James should have gone for the big guy, that would have made a better statement to the three of them.

delta 02-08-2016 09:06 PM

James Whale is another talentless, rather nasty, under that veneer of respectability he's portraying.

Made his career out of being crass and controversial on a local, late night Yorkshire radio station. I dislike the geezer intensely. He was aggressive towards Bear with the coffee incident and if cameras hadn't have been there, I wager Bear would have decked, the over weight, obnoxious James H. Not that I am defending Bear and his antics who seems to be wired to another planet and is rather annoyed there's a better looking guy in the house than him and the only half decent, free bird has chosen 'the other geezer' and not him. Seems to have some sort of 'beef' about that.
