In VTS showmances can't do any harm its just more airtime

Did she lie? There's a reason why showmances are talked about constantly and well publicised by the media. The majority of casuals actually love the coupling up hence why Love Island is becoming more popular now

She's not wrong. A good portion of the BB fanbase goes gaga over a showmance (like the Twitter tweens who went mad over Jackson and Georgina instead of seeing it for the unhealthy, controlling mess of a relationship that it was).

Unfortunately TIBB doesn't represent casual BB fans. A lot them go crazy over showmances

The generals like them it's just us on here that don't.

Even on DS, the Jeremy and Steph thread had like 3 parts to it by the time CBB17 finished and the JJ and Josie Appreciation Thread has like 300 parts D:

Showmances are very unpopular on Reality TV Shows.

When Big Brother used to be less Showmance obsessed Love Island could only wish to get half of Big Brother's ratings.

However since Big Brother has become more Showmance obsessed it's now got Love Island's ratings.

She's right, it's only on here that showmances are hated

Yet Georgina was booted at the first opportunity?

well she was evicted the second time she was up tbf and she was moping about the place and being generally unpleasant

I agree - no we don't but that is what gets the air time - so boring and fake.

Just because people have coupled up, doesn't mean that's what people want to see.

All the ones I've listed were favourites with the public at some point, with their popularity peaking during their showmance time.

The difference is most were popular housemates on their own, they didn't need a showmance to get air time, also two of those couples went on to have a long lasting relationship beyond the house
