Are Channel 5 tarnishing the BB Franchise? Should Endemol step in?
I know that Big Brother, in the UK at least, has had a reputation for housemates playing up and acting a bit naughty. But there's no way that the rat-packs shenanigans would air on other international versions of Big Brother (USA, Canada and recent Australia series). Do you think that Endemol as a company should step in to protect the Big Brother brand from becoming even more of a laughing stock, by regulating Channel 5. As it seems to be that Viacom are letting Big Brother go down the drain and probably want to move it to MTV UK in the future.

Um have you seen BB15 US?
The rat pack are tame |

Personally I think it's fine. Yes the rat pack are gross but it's not some big scandal that requires Endemol to step in. And I think Channel 5 are doing pretty well with the Big Brother brand considering pretty much all public/media interest with the show ended a good 6 years ago now.

BBUK is a completely different show to those versions. Even at it's most successful, Channel 4 would have broadcast everything that was happening.

Endemol already stepped in BTW, at the start of BB17 due to the lack of live feed/updates

I don't want more control over what c5 can't show it's manipulated enough as it is!

the truth is that ITV should of bought it,

they already booted a guy for making a tasteless joke, I say let the hm's sort it themselves, they don't need daddy to step in

Watching people writhe around under duvets is getting boring. Unfortunately, the calibre of these "celebs" is so low that we can see how fake their outbursts and showmances are. It's BB, panto version.
