Yes Now Spanish Bastards
they used to be British Abbey National

In USA its the same
many are buying Property
with Cash amounts
as money in the bank gets
very little return

Time to change banks Cherie.
You can/ could get 2% on your Lloyds current account up to £20k.
Yorkshire bank pay 1.75 on ISA with £30k ISA 1.5 on a £15k ISA, both 40day cashouts but you only lose the last 40 days nterest if you cash it without notice. Yorkshire bank don't charge you either.
I know it all changes daily now but you have to keep an eye on hard earned dosh.

Thanks Smudge I'm annoyed as I feel Santander have mis sold that account, I didn't mind the fee rise from 2 quid to 5, as it's more than covered by cash back but to drop the rate by so much is just greedy

Before you Change make sure
The next bank is not doing 1.5

Because in the City
many are saying all banks will do the same

I expect they will, so basically the rate drop hasn't helped anyone as most people are on fixed rate mortgages or the bank won't pass the cut to mortgage holders on variable rates, whilst savers are penalised once again

you can legitimately blame brexit for that as its directly related to the BoE measures introduced after the vote.
