Had this series not aired directly after BB17...

...do you think you'd have liked it/appreciated it more?

I think I probably would have appreciated it more had it not aired directly after BB17 since BB17 was an amazing series and one of the best there's ever been.

Thoughts?

Poll incoming.

I don't think the cast are good enough to appreciate it at anytime tbh

Shaun 15-08-2016 09:01 PM

Don't think it has any impact on my opinions of a series really. BB17 being cut short isn't the only reason this one is so awful, and it's not even in the top ten reasons.

Had it been a winter series, the reaction would probably have been worse because the build-up would have been a lot bigger, thus making the series more disappointing

zakman440 15-08-2016 09:04 PM

Airing it straight after BB17 probably hasn't done it any favours, but it's still a terrible series in its own right so no.

Daniel-X 15-08-2016 09:05 PM

No I still don't think I would've liked it, the series is far too repetitive to appreciate.

Cherie 15-08-2016 09:11 PM

No because they don't even bother to hide the manipulation in this series

hot2go 15-08-2016 09:52 PM

Yes I would...it came on the back of a really good BB and it came too soon..I still had the last series very clear in my memory

Jason. 15-08-2016 09:53 PM

Not really. I judge a series by its content not when it airs (even though January CBB's have more of a hype surrounding them which contributes to the overall enjoyment) but it would still be awful. Infact I'm glad it's a summer CBB series because if this aired in January it would be getting like 3.0m and it doesn't deserve anywhere near those figures nor the media attention that January CBB gets.

Yep.I don't think they think that they need a decent cast for the summer one. They better get their **** together for January though. They won't get away with the z listers like we have in this series.

For me this has been the worst Celeb BB ever. Its total ****e.

I probably wouldn't of stopped watching before the first eviction lol.

It's such an awful series I somewhat doubt it. I think being next to BB17 has probably hightlighed how ****e the cast is compared to the civilian series but aside from that it just stands out as an awful series in an otherwise excellent year.

Clootie Dumpling 16-08-2016 03:53 AM

BB17 was pretty ****, but might have got better had it not been truncated to make way for CBB18.

As other posters have said, though, CBB18 is **** in its own right. :(

azi 16-08-2016 04:59 AM

No I think I would've still hated it.

Ammi 16-08-2016 05:55 AM

....hmmm no, I think if it had been a great series/highlighted well and more balanced etc it would have perked up our enthusiasm again..or mine anyway...it's not so much the timing but the series itself and how it's been focused that's made it exhausting and draining and lacking of a balanced interest...
