Hello Monie, great to see you!

I am not at all surprised that Helen is doing this, and I wish her well, why not?

As long as it keeps her happy and with Mr Clarke, I am content. I still think she could have done more, but after all it's not so far down the A1 for a cut, colour and blow dry every 6 weeks or so.

It has to be better than the normal 'Have you been anywhere nice for your holidays?'

Think of the conversations you could have!!!

I think I may be purchasing the News of the World this week!

monie 27-04-2003 09:37 AM

Rob surprised to see you answering so quick thought you would have been in hot pursuit of the News of the World magazine

kaphc 27-04-2003 10:01 AM

Bet she's gone now!

Just by the by, I actually have a phobia of hairdressers (the building, not the people). I just can't stand the thought of looking in one of those mirrors that always seems to be lit unflatteringly, talking about where I am or I'm not going on holiday this year etc. etc.

But if Helen opens a hairdressers, I could be persuaded to go there .....

Hope its unisex!!!!

She can trim my whiskers anytime......:colour:

Helen always said she'd like to go back to hairdressing, didn't she? I bet she never, in her wildest dreams, thought she'd ever own her own salon, though.

Bless her little cotton socks. I wish her all the luck in the world.

chilledbootz 27-04-2003 01:32 PM

Good for you H!!!:elephant::dance::hello::wavey:

About time she realised that she should stick to what she knows. I'm sure people will still slag her off because that's Britain's way, but at least she can show them her certificates in defence!!!
You go girl..........oh and say hello to Paul for us xxxx

Princess Pink Pants 27-04-2003 02:01 PM

Hi, monie - it's good to hear from you again, and especially with such great news about Helen! :wavey:

Thanks for posting up the article, rachb - the pictures are fantastic. Helen looks great, and the interview with her is excellent - typical H!

I see she's planning to work 4 days a week, so that perhaps still leaves the door open for her to have some free time for some TV work . . . . . I hope so.

Wonder what her salon will be called - any ideas, peeps? :conf:

Something like Hair Today, Hair Tomorrow.

Helen to open her own hairdressers

I wonder if lorraine will invite Helen on her program to give us her latest news.
She could even invite her back to be their hairdresser on her day off from the salon. Its nice to have some recent news at last.:elephant:

BLESS HER COTTON SOCKS!

I love that girl x Lets hope she doesn't call it "crappy" cuts xx It's so good to hear that her and paul are getting on really well it's weird to think it was almost two years ago - doesn't time fly xxx

Sticks 27-04-2003 10:25 PM

It seems her mother wants her to have a baby

I wonder what Paul's thoughts are ?

As for the name not being Curl up and die, someone beat them to that one anyway

kaphc 28-04-2003 11:07 AM

I like the bit where she says she still reminds Paul that he nominated her!!

ROB, can we have another story about Helen and Paul and the new hairdressing salon? Pretty please with a cherry on top??? :cat::flower::flower::cat:

Romantic Old Bird 28-04-2003 01:28 PM

KaphC - I am not sure I am in the 'Helen and Paul' mode enough still to get into it.

Would many people still be bothered about it?

If I did, I think I would have to dig out those tapes for a refresher course....just when I am getting so much better....

I know I would be, but don't worry if it will impede your recovery from all that is P & H! <grin> It was just a suggestion.

I know I would love another story ROB if you had time to do one for us:elephant::elephant::elephant:

BusyBee 28-04-2003 05:10 PM

I go away for the week-end and we get some up-to-date news at last. Will have to have a word with my mum to acquire her News of the World Magazine:hugesmile:

At least now we know when they celebrate their anniversary.

All we need now is some more 'interesting' news which really would make our day.:love:

Perhaps if she is very successful she can open a chain of salons. We'll have one in Bristol cos she could visit it on her way to see her mum - just a little diversion off the motorway:thumbs::thumbs:

Anyway - best of luck Helen - can we come to the opening party:devil::devil:
