Sam Fox 'suffered panic attack' in unaired scenes

CELEBRITY Big Brother bosses are facing new cover-up claims after Sam Fox suffered a meltdown and it was kept from viewers.

The former Page 3 model suffered a crippling panic attack earlier this week.

In scenes that were not aired on the Channel 5 show, producers were forced to send in medics and she was given medication.

But fans had no idea about the drama and show chiefs are now open to fresh claims of a cover-up.

A CBB insider said: “Sam was not well at all. She was called to the diary room because they were concerned about her health.

“She had a full-blown panic attack. It got pretty serious and they were genuinely concerned.

“Medics were sent in to make sure she was OK and not at serious risk.

“They even had to give her medication to help her calm down.”

Heavy D, below, who was evicted on Tuesday, said: “Sam moans a lot. It’s hard to tell if she really means it or she just likes a moan.

"But she is finding it difficult. She’s missing her mum.”

The Sam cover-up is the second time Channel 5 bosses have kept a major drama from viewers.

Earlier in the series Christopher Biggins made a sick joke about Nazi death camps and it was not aired.

Bosses only took action and booted him out after the Daily Star found out about it from an insider.

Poor Sam :(. I can understand them not airing this, but they could've at least told us this had happened. I hope she's okay.

Shows how fake Janice's fit was then if they can't air a panic attack. I've often wondered if they're fairly common in the house.

MB. 17-08-2016 11:15 PM

Not sure how or why this would suggest that Janice's fit was fake in the slightest, considering a lot of it likely depends on what is in said celebrity's contract in regards to what can and can't be aired, etc

reece(: 17-08-2016 11:15 PM

Glad they've not aired this as I couldn't deal with people saying she's faking it

Jordan. 17-08-2016 11:17 PM

Wow I'm glad it wasn't aired, I couldn't handle seeing another distressing scene like Jayne's

Well I just wondered if they didn't air it for that very reason. Janice is big and American and not afraid to sue left right and centre so I would have thought that a medical emergency like that would be slightly more controversial to air than a panic attack?
I didn't think Janice's fit was fake at the time btw but this just made me wonder.

Makes Bear's behaviour towards Sam all the more despicable

Lostie! 17-08-2016 11:19 PM

Everyone who doesn't like her would just accuse her of faking it anyway, as with Jayne and Janice.

Eh...why should we see a panic attack? Sorry, some coverups I agree with and if I went on BB I know I would be signing away my right to privacy but if I had a panic attack I would be really pissed off if they showed it...that **** is NOT something people want to see, trust me :S

Also they may well have asked Sam if she wanted it shown or not, as I imagine they had to do with the jayne thing and all medical type stuff...

Robodog 17-08-2016 11:39 PM

Yeah a real panic attack can be a very scary place to be, you can lose control of your breathing and your mind and can even feel like you are about to die

Good that they didn't show it. You wouldn't show them having diarrhoea, and a panic attack could be far more personal and embarrassing than that would be.

Back in the late 90s Gordon Ramsey did a Celebrity Hell's Kitchen - it was a classic. But, he said he would never do another because the celebs were always seeking psychological counselling. Gordon was not at all impressed.
Interestingly (?), Marco's dad took over as the head chef on the next 3 seasons which explains why Marco is a pseudo-celeb, and turned up on this show last regular season.

So, sure, Sam's had a bit of game show pressure combined with a 'bang on the head' along the way (Renee's had more bangs than Sam though - and she just cried and bleated like an ogre eating a lamb).

Hope she feels better though; I had a 5'x3' wet T-shirt poster of her 'art' on my bedroom wall.

I agree completely. I understand Big Brother is a fly on the wall show and we should be able to see everything going off the original concept but personally if we're only seeing 40 minutes of the day I don't really want to be seeing Sam Fox have a panic attack. It's not pleasant to watch.

NHS says yes, spellcheck says no

Spellcheck says diarrhea. NHS says http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Diarrho...roduction.aspx along with a lovely description for you :)

That was your contribution to the discussion?

As a sufferer myself from multiple daily extreme panic attacks, I can only sympathise with her on this. Wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy!

Was this just after she was nominated?

She seemed quite calm when she was sitting quietly in a corner under the radar.

azi 18-08-2016 04:46 AM

:(

Ammi 18-08-2016 05:40 AM

...awww poor Sam.....I'd like to think that they haven't shown it because it would be insensitive and in bad taste to do so but there is an element of thinking that it'll also show the real stress that the housemates have been subjected to by Bear and how it's been allowed by BB for him to push/prod/poke/goad etc to levels that start to 'break people'....so more showing them in a bad light and that this is not 'entertainment' at all or some battle of endurance...

comments like this just do my head in

anyway, I fully agree that they shouldn't have aired it. panic attacks are so overwhelming and awful and it was probably even worse with 50 cameras pointing at her

i once had one in the middle of a science lesson in secondary school and everyone pissing themselves whilst i left the room made it 10x worse

....awwww....I know someone who had one when they had to have an inoculation/injection at school..and yeah for him as well it was that it was so public and people laughing etc because laughter is often a reaction to these things when people feel awkward as well and don't know how to react, you know...

Panic attacks are so easy to fake so they probably thought it was a faker for sympathy votes and they can't risk losing bear to her can they. There got x on the beach coming up
