Great episode for Katie/Awful episode for Sam

Heavy D pushed for a reaction from Katie and he certainly got one.He unleashed her inner tiger. She stepped up to the challenge and did herself a world of good.Heavy did her a big favour there. She got my respect for that.

Sam on the other hand was embarrassing to watch.Bear was totally right about her. She's kept quiet all series and tried to fly under the radar not sharing an opinion on anything.
She took her nomination terribly and let her true colours out for us all to see and they weren't pretty at all.
Her over inflated ego came tumbling through like a ton of bricks and showed a quite ugly side.
Did herself no favours this episode imo.

Hope so.She's a fighter when she's backed into a corner which is admirable. It's what we want to see from the bores. Some character rather than moaning in the diary room.Bear seems smart enough to realise that he won't come out of a barny with her unscathed.Heavy was not so smart and he picked on the wrong person their.

Still love Our Sam but Katie overtook her as my favourite tonight, she was brilliant :clap1:

the truth 18-08-2016 01:55 AM

both were pathetic tbh totally humourless

ConnieLingus 18-08-2016 02:11 AM

I'd like to meet Kate's gran and Sam's mummy for afternoon tea and crumpets.

"Great Britain LOVES Samantha Fox! They call me 'our Sam'. Thats what they call me here!"

I feel most HM's avoid confrontation with Sam because they sense the barely-concealed rage bubbling under the cold surface.
Bear's frankness with her was refreshing and Lewis's summary of her was SPOT ON.

caprimint 18-08-2016 03:11 AM

Agreed. I enjoyed seeing Katie's feisty side. She handled Heavy D pretty well too, it must be hard to get heard above him, let alone get your point across.

I think every episode has been a bad one for Sam (she always looks miserable as hell and moans constantly), but this was easily her worst yet.

the truth 18-08-2016 03:15 AM

even lovely linda lusardi admitted sam was a broken bitter bint

..yeah this really...she didn't look great with her reaction but that house has been wound up to not look great in more or less every way, anyway...to bring out nothing but negatives but it was far from being 'an ugly side' either...she obviously feels that she has spoken up and not sat on the fence and whether that's true or not, it can't be described as ugly in character for her to find it difficult to see....Katie though/fabulous.....

Had flashbacks to Sams last drunken tv breakdown watching last nights show, she almost used the exact same wording too bringing up penis size as a way of degrading the person she was arguing with

Totally agree.

Sam went down in my estimations of her last night, she has been a really big disappointment.

Clootie Dumpling 18-08-2016 07:49 AM

I thought Katie's outburst was appalling - full of arrogance, bile and personal slights. Until last night I thought her main contribution was as a wingeing cry-baby, but now I think she's a nasty piece of work.

Sam has disappointed me from the start. Originally, I thought she was flying under the radar early on and avoiding confrontations as part of a game plan, but last night's sulky strop shows her in a different light.

I must admit, the warning signs were there with her "people call me our Sam" line and for me, like Josy, the drunken episode on TV a few years ago keeps coming to mind. I wondered if she'd cleaned up her act in the interim, but expected a relapse when I saw her, with glass in hand, having a strop last night.

I personally don't see what Sam did wrong, but Katie was brilliant, Heavy targeted her because he thought he would get away with it, it was great to see his shock when she knocked him off his perch :clap1:

Bear was right last night, Sam was like your drunken aunt at a wedding.

My thoughts exactly....I had wanted this to be a second chance for her and thought with age she could now be a less abrasive person but clearly she's still the same...too defensive and too proud and can only mask those traits by hiding away all these weeks. She should go on Friday.

Agree Clootie, I don't know what was so great about Katie name calling and effing and jeffing, if it is one thing Heavy did in there he got under peooles skins, he exposed Sam when Chloe was dancing round the pole and he exposed Katie last night...where have the tears gone, are we really supposed to believe Katie got upset over nominating Bear but tuns into a tigress when Heavy told her she had no opinions? She got very personal with him very quickly. We've seen snippets of Sam since Heavy made that remark to her and it's not been pretty. In the Diary Room when she was talking about girl power she quickly realised she might be alienating the male audience didn't she :joker:

Yes, that was pretty blatant, but fun to watch her trying to mitigate the damage - you could see the cogs working overtime, replaying what she'd just said! :)
