Nominating people for being 'big competition'

Nominating people for being 'big competition' seems to have become more popular throughout the summer. I sort of like that they're treating it more like a game I guess.

But I feel like it's going to become the new 'oh we don't connect very well' so I hope they don't start overusing it.

I wish the civilians would stop tweeting about how hard done to they are than the celebrities. They're the ones who seek out the show to get on it.

Yeah, it was interesting to see at first, but the only person who I feel actually means it when they say it is James. The others just jump on that bandwagon to save face

Frankie probably means it as well.

Not their fault for BB being inconsistent, producers should make their minds up and stick to it.

I think its a total copout and is sugaring over the fact that the person who is nominating just dont like the person they nominate. Marnies nomination of Frankie seemed very well accepted by him she obviously didnt want to nominate anyone else although I could think of reasons for most of them but it was ok for her to pick him cos he was the only one who nominated her the previous week and he was great in his reaction and they hugged.

I dont believe for a second this 'Im nonimating you because you could beat me in this or you are my competition utter crap'

I didn't say it was. Just that I don't see the point in doing it. They try and get sympathy or whatever for being hard done to but they're the people who sought out the show to get on it.

Oh yeah, definitely. Forgot about Frankie lol

I found James' quite funny as I took it as totally tongue in cheek, especially given the two people he saw as 'competition' had very nearly left (lewis twice bottom 2, marnie once) but others following it and using it as a copout were pathetic. Agreed with renee tbh..all the 'sparing feelings' by coming up with some bull**** reason is ridiculous.

rubymoo 18-08-2016 02:08 PM

I think it's a crap reason to nom someone, they were all saying it because they didn't want to hurt each others feelings, it's like reverse psychology, buttering each other up, what rubbish!

I think its a more honest excuse than some of the other lame excuses we usually get

The nominations especially face to face are an interesting part of the show ,my understanding is that HM are required to give valid reasons and attempting to evict a perceived winner and or "helping" someone who wants to go home are not valid imo and they should be pulled on this.

Ugh this. Gerogina moaning about not being allowed in the diary room with another person even though they did it all the time. Like get over yourself loov!

Half the time it's just a cop out reason. But it's worse when someone does it then claims they can't wait to leave. (Not naming anyone Sam )

Lstan 18-08-2016 08:12 PM

I guess in one way its good they are honest? I mean its better than a BS excuse right?
