Is it just me that doesn't mind Aubrey?

I know that I've opened up tons of threads about Aubrey in a very negative light, but she's actually normally the type of Housemate that I'd normally be alright with, but sadly the spitting incident stops her from being a contender for my favourite role.

She does remind me of Jenna from CBB16 a little bit though which is a shame about the spitting incident as I'd really like to support her if it weren't for that moment which is still imo the most disgusting moment of this series.

What do you guys think of her?

Paula D 22-08-2016 01:30 PM

I think she's great, very intelligent, insightful housemate who manages to keep the head even when all around her are losing it.

I'd get over the spitting incident. If you think chefs all over the world don't do this to obnoxious customers you'd be sorely mistaken.

Maybe she worked in a bad restaurant kitchen once.

I probably should, but it's just something that I've found really disgusting growing up when a lot of my classmates used to spit at each other in arguments at my School life so it's kind of stuck with me.

She and Renee are my faves and Aubrey has been flawless apart from one incident which she apologised for and hasn't repeated.

I really like her tbh. Its odd to have a beautiful female housemate who actually has a personality. The spitting thing was ****ing gross but Bear didn't give too much of a crap about it so I refuse to be offended on someones behalf when they don't even care

I agree that it's rare, I did have a feeling that Aubrey wouldn't be a Marnie in the series though.

Aubrey is the second best one in there, yes the spitting thing was grim, but why should anyone else care if Bear blatantly doesn't, so much so he even asked her to spit into his mouth, she's apologised, it was accepted, let's all move on and enjoy her greatness.

hot2go 22-08-2016 02:21 PM

The gobbing was so aggressive ....and ugly....if not for that then she could be a contender.....spends all her time and money and energy trying to look like a princess then she goes and gobs in people food......that's obv who she really is.....shame really, let herself down

joeysteele 22-08-2016 02:35 PM

I actually listened to her last night and was impressed with what she said she did at Christmas, 'if' what she said she did was in fact true.

However, I cannot get past the spitting incident and really, I feel very sure,if any male housemate did that to a female housemates food and also their drink too, then they would likely be hammered relentlessly on here and off here, and probably even be thrown out by BB.
Rightly so too in my view.

The fact she did it and how she planned to do so only leaves me thinking this is something she has done likely many times before to others too.
Unless I was likely choking, had I ever spit as a child,I would have got my head near carried off my shoulders.
I certainly would never dream of doing so to another's food, no matter what I thought of them.

There are some habits and inappropriate things people do that may border on the acceptable but spitting for me, and especially in someone elses food and drink, is just about as low and disgusting as you can go in my view.

So for me, she would be out,no matter who she did that to.
Judging her as a housemate, doing that to another housemate,no way could I ever even think of supporting her after that.

For me, it is very forgiving indeed of Bear to have not held that against her, I for sure would, for good too.

Yes, I agree that she is intelligent and insightful, and has been a very good housemate.

I would advise trying to separate the action from the person, if you can, as one incident does not define who she is- she made a poor decision, apologised and hasn't repeated it. She didn't think and made a silly mistake, and we have all been guilty of that at some point in our lives, especially if we have been pushed and provoked to our wit's end.

caprimint 22-08-2016 02:47 PM

I really like Aubrey too, she's super insightful and interesting, whilst remaining classy (spitgate aside) and she's naturally gorgeous which is quite rare to find in comparison to previous housemates. I think she's a little feisty too but only when necessary and doesn't overuse it to the extent of being OTT.

the truth 22-08-2016 03:11 PM

gutted about spit gate otherwise id have backed her, i find her very interesting

Clootie Dumpling 22-08-2016 04:03 PM

Okay, so the spitting incident wasn't great but, as Paula D pointed out above, it's often done by chefs with difficult customers, who do far less to provoke their wrath than Bear did with Aubrey.

Yes, it's disgusting and I'd hate someone to do it to me. I wouldn't do it myself, even if sorely tempted, but he did deserve it IMO and then invited her to spit in his mouth afterwards.

I like Aubrey because she's not using her sexuality or reputation to try and get ahead in the House. I don't like the fact that she's back-peddled on her negative opinions of Bear, though, but this could be a tactic to ensure he doesn't target her before some of the others.

sampvt 22-08-2016 04:25 PM

She chooses her words and battles very carefully and as far as I am concerned I can see straight through her. She is all about self promotion and money. I simply cant find one redeeming thing about her and she needs to go as she done absolutely nothing for that house except prove that BB cant cope with radar divers that ruin the show.

JTM45 22-08-2016 05:05 PM

She has a career which consists of her trying to claw back the success she once (apparently & surprisingly!) had with some awful American 'group'. The kind that fade rapidly into obscurity but Aubrey will never shut up about because it's been all downhill since then!
She's spent far more time trying to get back to where she was than she ever spent 'there'.

Droll. Very, very Droll.:bored:

:joker: Really love that comment JTM45.:joker:

Not sure why describing a collection of people doing the same career together constitutes putting 'group' in air quotes

Adamw92 22-08-2016 07:52 PM

Shes one of the best ones in there this series

Strictly Jake 22-08-2016 08:13 PM

I really like her she is one of my favourites

wendywillow 22-08-2016 09:30 PM

i like her surprisingly, the spiting thing was bad but she is funny and interesting, i agree with samptv that shes into selfpromotion but they all are, at least shes interesting to watch

Alf 22-08-2016 09:33 PM

Let's hope the British public do Big Brothers job for them by voting Dennis II out first on final night.

Yaki da 22-08-2016 09:36 PM

She's clearly, cold, heartless, self absorbed and her boyfriend is a knob. And most of her advice sounds like something out of a self help book guide

Jordan. 22-08-2016 09:37 PM

She's been a classy, warm hearted chick through out. Can't think of anything to fault her.
