Cancer !!!!!

Renee and Aubrey calling Bear cancer tonight was UNFORGIVEABLE. I know it was used as a term to cut a cancer out of society but those two horrible bitches how bloody dare they say that about a human being.

The term cancer is a very tough term for anyone to hear when they are diagnosed as having it. Only with regard to the star sign should it be ever used otherwise. Sorry girls the man you want to cut out of society will beat BOTH of you in the final. I dont even like Bear but these high and mighty bitches think they are so perfect and above everyone well they ARENT. They can high tail it home and hopefully we will never hear from them again.

We have all lost dearly loved people because of cancer and some of us are facing it in our lives.

It's a well known saying...

I lost my auntie to cancer last year very unexpectedly because she knew it was terminal and she didn't want us all worrying and I wasn't offended.

Actually I find this thread more offensive.

Cancer: an evil or destructive practice or phenomenon that is hard to contain or eradicate.

Queens of expanding people's vocab!

rubymoo 25-08-2016 09:22 PM

I don't like the saying, it's not nice and it's uncalled for, sometimes you have to be the bigger person.

Cancer!!!!!

Daffodil 25-08-2016 09:23 PM

I think the term cancer describes Bear perfectly!

Withano 25-08-2016 09:23 PM

Probably referring to his star sign

smudgie 25-08-2016 09:26 PM

Well known and well used term.
Describes the situation well.

Lostie! 25-08-2016 09:28 PM

I loathe Bear but it's a horrid term, don't care how popularly used it is.

What's offensive about this thread?

Maru 25-08-2016 09:29 PM

Why does the sensitivity level have to be so high though? It's a perfectly acceptable metaphor. It doesn't lessen the affliction of cancer survivors/victims.

Having lost people close to me due to cancer, I feel the same way as you. But I do see why some people would be offended by it. It was a silly move on Renee's part (did Aubrey say it too idk) though, considering this is a show were the viewers will pick up on anything slightly offensive.

When you've watched some one die of cancer, and they've died in your arms, you'll understand that its not an acceptable metaphor.

I'll have to take your word for it. Otherwise for me it would just depend on the usage.

Firewire 25-08-2016 09:36 PM

She was inspired by Mitch

Amy Jade 25-08-2016 09:37 PM

I've actually heard my Nana say it about David Cameron and she's survived cancer twice.
