Some ideas concerning C&G
 

It's now off season so one of the most active sub forums is C&G ~Sooo because they are posts and help the forum stay active and stop its pipes freezing in the winter (:hehe:) could they count? It may encourage people who don't normally post in there to post too...

I was also thinking maybe move the Non Big Brother Chat subforums closer to the top of the forum during off season which'd be handy and also give it more attention

(Please be civil- usually when I make threads about C&G posts counting etc. It derails into arguments and if this could just be civil about it all that'd be great)

Do you really think people are that bothered about Post Counts that they don't post in C&Gs because the posts there don't count? I don't personally

I don't know why they don't count anyway, it's stupid

But to be fair I don't care if my post count is increased or not

Why doesn't Chat & Games count towards post count anyway? Is it because most of it is 'spam' or whatever? (cos it's just usually gifs or chatting)

But like if you're getting rewarding for taking part in a game but your contribution to the game doesn't appear in your post count that's a tad weird?

Yeah I agree with moving it to the top, and in addition my HEX application thread should be stickied too.

I dread to think what my post count would be if C&G counted. Maybe close to what Niamhs is now :umm2:

It's just not realistic, if you want a higher post count try make the other forums more active.

Make C&G posts count but not because we care about post counts

FYI: I never said it should happen or that I didn't are/did care about my post count.

I just asked why it didn't count and what the reason was.

It's a bit more logical to have them count like when people put effort into things like games - not for my personal gain??

It could be a factor... Mostly it's because people don't even scroll down to find out about it which is why I made my second point :laugh:

Yeah people put a lot of effort into forum games and I think they contribute more to the forum than other section so why shouldn't they count?

Like I wasn't thinking add on the previous C&G posts - if the posts did eventually count it'd be a lot more logical to it from that point onwards

They should just randomly remove post counts and leave the girlies shook.

My thought process has always been that a post count by its very nature is supposed to reflect the actual number of posts you have made on a forum.

If you start discounting certain posts, then it isn't really a 'post count' is it? All the figures are entirely inaccurate, and that to me just makes the whole thing silly and pointless

What about making them count bar the chat thread? hs that possible?.
