Hillary Clinton Cancels Campaign Trip After Pneumonia Diagnosis

[Hillary Clinton has cancelled a
campaign trip to California while
she recovers from pneumonia,
a campaign official has said.
The diagnosis emerged yesterday
after the Democratic presidential
candidate stumbled while leaving
a ceremony to mark 15 years since
the 9/11 terror attacks in New York.
Mrs Clinton's doctor said she was
put on antibiotics and advised to
rest following the diagnosis on Friday,
but added the politician
was "recovering nicely".]

Yes she is Ill.

Sure... with a curable health condition...not some long term disease that will affect how she performs as president over a 4 year term...

Quit trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill

maybe youre making a moiehill out of a mountain
she simply has to get more honest about everything, shes even lying to herself
I genuinely hope she gets better and we can actually debate issues
I must admit I have grave concerns over trump

She will be fine, it's something curable.

Because she would have been criticized to no end if she had skipped the 9-11 memorial for feeling ill. She probably felt sick but was pushing herself to meet her commitments.... who hasn't done the same for a job... I did that when I was 19... fell sick for 3 weeks... sickest I have ever been in my life. Had nothing to do with age or overall health... just pushed myself too hard and my body broke down.

But she was damned if she didn't show up or damned if she did today.... and that is the real problem here. No matter what she did today... there would still be countless news articles and threads :suspect: ... attacking her choice. It isn't about her hiding anything with regards to her health... it's more a matter of unrealistic expectations and judgement from the masses.

And yes...this isn't an issue that the presidency should be decided on...let's all get back to those.

But this is about Trust
she was told this on Friday
Kept it secret.

She can not be Trusted
thats what America is
saying on their News

She would have been hung drawn and quartered by some Mokka had she not attended. You are so right there.

I give her now even more credit for trying to do 'duty' and attend the memorial service and also other work needed to be done.

Pneumonia is curable and this may explain how she has been in recent weeks to with this coming on.

I hope she takes time to adequately rest and get over this bout of pneumonia, then get back to the campaign.

Yes, she is running for president but she is also a human being and humans do get ill sometimes, no matter who they are or what status they are either..
Good luck to her and I hope she is fully recovered soon.

Their news :idc:

And it isn't about trust... because again...if she were to say she was sick... without people seeing she was sick, and were she to have missed the memorial...the media would just attack her for being weak, insensitive, selfish... etc..
She was damned either way, as I said. Now it's a feeble attempt to call her untrustworthy, before it would be to speculate about her competence... as you have already done in another thread. It's all just in how the nay sayers spin it.

And again...why does it even matter in terms of policy. If this is what they are using to call her untrustworthy... it's the sorriest example I can think of.

While I think its ridiculous that Hilary is being attacked for having an illness, she should come clean about any health issues she may or may not have. Pneumonia often occurs due to the body being run down from some other disease, not from "over work". If she has issues, she better make people aware now.

its a fact though, pneumonia normally results from another illness. I can't stand Hilary or Trump, so I'm not "hating" on one over the other. So its not undue speculation.

i can really see Donald Trump becoming president :)

arista 12-09-2016 07:28 AM

She has a Live TV Debate in 2 weeks

she must pull out of that

I've had pneumonia twice, once as a child, when I was 5,and then my teens, and I am only 24 but I have had no other health issues at all than that, at UNI I came across others who got it too also with no other health issues than that..

She may just be overworked and run down from almost a year of solid campaigning, that doesn't mean she has anything else that is particularly medically serious at all.

If she had anything really serious, and also then contracted pneumonia, she would actually in hospital, certainly even moreso being a presidential candidate too.
She would not have been allowed to carry on as she has for the last week or so as she has been.

Ammi 12-09-2016 07:32 AM

..I have to agree with Arista and bitontheslide with this..(and MTVN in another thread..).....I know Arista might have jumped on this a bit eagerly and hopefully the concerns for her health long term are unfounded but they're still very valid though and something very much of 'public interest'...as has been said on something I watched on TV...'when the President of the USA is ill, all of Wall Street show the symptoms'...because it's also a thing of faith in that person being fit and healthy/physically and mentally and there has been a very public frailty shown with her attendance yesterday and that can't be dismissed either...

Not normally... there are a few illnesses that raise your risk factor... being over 65 raises you risk factor. What you are saying is she has pneumonia and had better fess up about some imagined illness that caused it... when it is just as likely that age and being on the campaign trail subject to all kinds of bacteria and viruses weakened her immune system. You are speculating... pure and simple

If that's applicable to Hilary, great, she can move on and get on with running for President. However, if there is some other underlying issue, she needs to come clean now. That's all I'm saying, and I don't think thats being unfair to her to be honest.

You are assuming she is being dishonest... and if there is nothing more to tell... will you even believe her...or just assume she is not honest :smug:

Yes Good Points Ammi

Of course I am Guilty
of attacking her, extra fast.

But now this is all down to Trust

She has pneumonia, that just about explains everything, the cough the tiredness and looking weary.

Pneumonia is curable, she is only 68, this is a country that elected Ronald Reagan who had to be prompted near all the time, pneumonia is hardly the devastating illness it was many decades ago.

Hardly a valid reason to beat someone up about her health with in my view.
She really ought not to have gone to the memorial service, can you honestly imagine she would have got praised for that and not got really pilloried for not being there by those ready to jump on anything they can to get at her..

I actually give her full credit indeed for making the effort and doing her best to see it through.
That is actually more like the kind of leader I would want myself, not see barred from being a leader.

Pneumonia is debilitating but it does get fully cured.

I honestly don't care that much .... i really don't. They are both at an age that they could drop dead from natural causes at any point in their term. However, if 18 months down the line, she was found to be lying, it will not be good for the USA.

We can't ignore that her husband lied through his teeth to the American people during his time, and she was fully complicit in that

Yes...let's hang all the sins of Bill on Hilary....but ignore all of Trumps lies. Makes perfect illogical sense.... but there you go.
