Gilbert & George

Anybody else like the work of these slightly oddball artists?

Lauren 01-03-2007 12:27 PM

They're my favourite artists! I have pieces of their art all over my room actually (how cultured of me).

:hello: It's contemporary weirdness to the extreme.

Cool. I went to see the new exhibition at the Tate Moden a couple of weeks ago. The whole 4th floor has been taken over with over 200 pieces and it is the biggest exhibition the Tate have ever held on any 1 artist(s). It was great. For any of you G&G virins out there, I attach an image of one of their pieces:

^ Good photo-montage, very typical of their work.

The posters on my wall I got from Art Review, it's their pieces Blood-y Life No.16 (My personal favourite):

Red morning trouble adorns my wall. Here's a piece called "Fates".

Their work has actually spanned 40 years.
