I can reveal that ITV bosses are in advanced talks to sign up Olympic hockey hero MADDIE HINCH.

The show’s producers think the Great Britain goalkeeper’s witty sense of humour and personality will make her a sure fire hit with viewers.

Maddie, who is known as Mad Dog to her teammates, was one of Team GB’s heroes at Rio 2016.

Her performance against The Netherlands in the final – saving all four of their penalties – was widely credited as the reason the ladies won gold.

But her performances off the pitch have also impressed telly chiefs.

She wrote a witty column for the BBC during the Olympics about her time in Brazil – and her recent appearance on the JONATHAN ROSS show has also helped her cause after producers loved her banter with her fellow guests.
