I saw her dance and she wasnt that bad but she wasnt that great either. Her fans dropped the ball nothing about race imo:shrug:

I'm not sure how people can scream racism when Louis Smith and Alesha Dixon have won and Natalie Gumede, Denise Lewis, Simon Webbe, Colin Jackson, Ricky Whittle and Chelsee Healey have reached the final and Martin Offiah came 4th in season 1, Patrick Robinson was like 5th in the season Gumede came 2nd, Sunetra Sarker was 7th I think in a hugely competitive season and Anita Rani was 5th last year wasnt she?

Melvin going 1st was the first time a black contestant has gone first in 15 seasons and he was crap.

no, because the Irish can't vote that's why, Jennifer Gibney also wasn't too popular, even Daniel O'Donnell, did not last too long :)

I do think it's perculiar that an Eastenders actress has gone so early, but I think it's mainly due to her position on the scoreboard.

Ever since John Sergeant there's been a reoccurence that the absolute worst is saved by the public for a period of time. The people who fall in the middle and don't garner enough support for being really good or really bad (like Jamelia last year) always find themselves in the bottom 2. I think that's what happened here.

It's a dancing competition, not a regional popularity contest :fist:

yes, and Jennifer wasn't quite good with her dancing, and Daniel also wasn't the best dancer :)

It has happened a few seasons, some do well and others flop - in series 6 three Eastenders actors went in four weeks - Phil Daniels out 1st, then Gillian Taylforth 2nd and Jessie Wallace was 4th out. All are white too. :hehe:

I still feel pretty upset over Tameka leaving :(

Its for the best and when Daisy leaves next week we can concentrate on saving Laura and Will in the coming weeks

But yeah, I think the main reason why people are so shocked is because her character on Eastenders is so well-liked, and her leaving early is an odd concept. Nothing to do with race, all to do with the scoreboard.

How can the BBC defend something that is out of their hands. The judges aren't racist because they base their decisions on the dancing, but the viewing public undeniably are for reasons I raised in the other thread (justice for Jamelia)

the public are responsible for putting Tameka in the dance off, if they voted for her it would not have happened :)

I dont think that white people preferring or identifying with white people is racist. If the boot was on the other foot demographiocally then black people would do the same

I would love to see the voting preference of black viewers who vote on strictly...

but if people would vote based on dancing, Anastacia and Naga or Ed should've been in the dance off, they are the worst dancers of the competition in my opinion, the people who voted for them are responsible for Tameka being in the dance off :mad:
