Mel C has turned down Strictly every year

Mel C has revealed that she has turned down Strictly Come Dancing every year - because the money is "****".

The former Sporty Spice admitted that Strictly Come Dancing is probably the only reality show she would even think about taking part in, but we probably shouldn't expect to see her in sequins any time soon.

Boo.

"Strictly is really the only one of those shows that I would consider and I have had a meeting with them - they ask me every year to do it," she told the Daily Star.

"The problem is if you do Strictly it's so high profile and you'll find yourself in the sidebar of shame every day. And the money's ****!"

Go on Strictly bosses... fork out a bit more for Mel, because we'd love to see her taking on a tango.

Or maybe she could follow in the footsteps of fellow Spice Girl Mel B, who came second in Dancing with the Stars, the US version of Strictly, back in 2007. Maybe the cash is better over there?

Mel C, who will release her new album next week, recently refused to get drawn into slagging off her former Spice Girls bandmates Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner over their decision to reunite.

I'm surprised at her attitude. I thought she was nicer than that :(

I don't think there's anything nasty in her attitude. It's like any job, the pay that's offered is going to be a factor.

This is weird considering that Jamelia had been asked a number of times before she accepted, and she said the money was so significant it was enough to buy a house.

I'm glad Mel declines though. She has more credibility than Strictly, in my opinion.

:joker: I did think that, but I would still imagine that Jamelia was making a bit of money to the point where if she saw that sum and exclaimed how signifcant it was then it must quite a bit.

But then Mel C is probably worth a **** load, so it probably is a pittance to her. The article just made it seem like she'd do it for more, but it probably just comes down to the fact that she knows she's too credible for the show but doesn't want to say it in fear of backlash from the people who watch.
