I do think there should be a law against tricking people into thinking you're a different sex. However a general law against 'tricking someone into bed' could get into very shakey territory.For instance you often get people lying about their job or what car they have to etc to try and impress the opposite sex.You'd end up with people in prison just for telling a lie before sleeping with someone.The law would have to be clearly defined as 'lying about sex/gender' or whatever. |
a guy lied to me once and told me he was 33 instead of 35 before we slept with each other.
I was so mad when i found out, and i made him buy me lots of gifts to make up for it. |

Its just ridiculous..it really is.
Also the 'tricking someone to think you are the opposite sex' happens a lot more than you would think. My friend had an..experience with this recently. |

I think the issue here is that this seems very shaky as a case. How could you spend time together and not know or suspect? Why would you agree to be blindfolded every time. Wouldn't you question? I don't think it rings true and I'm surprised it came to court in the first place.
