Missing Obama already .....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1ljmtaibC4

Only a few weeks left of the great man:bawling:

Have to admit this , like so many of his wonderful speeches , this had a hard nosed misery guts like me weeping with hope for a better tomorrow

Im sure hes made mistakes and hes only human, but damn it what a man, what class and humility he has, what command of history and law and human nature and all its toils and troubles...what an inspiration he is, for all the criticisms, I think overall he has been an awesome president and sadly when you compare him to the appalling candidates for presidency, its clear that at time of intitial crisis, for 8 glorious years we were standing on the shoulders of a giant!

Thank You Barrack Obama and your lovely family xxx!:wavey:

Something we can agree on finally :p

Tom4784 13-10-2016 07:31 PM

He did the best he could with an almost impossible situation. The Republicans opposed him every step of the way to the detriment of everyone else just because they didn't want to give him a 'win'.

It's a difficult task to achieve anything if the opposition basically runs the Senate.

GiRTh 13-10-2016 07:33 PM

I think history will be kinder to Obama than both George W Bush and Bill Clinton.

Alf 13-10-2016 07:43 PM

One of the worst US presidents ever.

I agree, especially sandwiched in between either Hillary or Donald he's going to look even better!

A thread I never saw coming from the truth...

But yes

UserSince2005 13-10-2016 07:58 PM

the ultimate dick head. hate him as much as he hates Britain, which is a lot

Scarlett. 13-10-2016 09:21 PM

One of the best Presidents in quite a long time, IMO.

MB. 13-10-2016 09:23 PM

Northern Monkey 13-10-2016 10:42 PM

He has been one of the best presidents which does'nt say much for the rest tbh.Obama certainly was'nt perfect by any means.Just better. We're all gonna be wishing he was still here after Clintons reign of terror on the world.

rk3388 13-10-2016 10:47 PM

George Bush was an absolute disaster so especially in comparison he was a great president.

Yes, and he inherited a total mess in the first place as well. A very good President with an awesome wife who if all was good and right in the world be the next President in 4 years time...not that she would want it...

Vicky. 21-10-2016 01:22 AM

**** me. Is this the first time we have agreed on something?

Obama was great just watch trump/clinton **** the world for the next couple of years

user104658 21-10-2016 10:34 AM

I think the thing about Obama was that he genuinely seems like someone you could sit down and have a drink with, and a good/humorous/humble/candid talk about the world. He seems to be relatable and down to earth. When you look at the vast majority of past presidents, and now Clintrump... they just don't have that demeanor. They don't come across as "normal people", at all. All business, all politics, all ambition... no warmth.

fake and ineffectual is my take on Obama

No-one who is a nice guy becomes president of the US, they have stamped on too many heads to get where they are.

Better a sane, diplomatic head stamper than a psychopathic ego - maniacal one though, eh? :hee:
