Injections!!

6 needles and the booster jab!
Is anyone's injections coming up at school??? And those who had them..... does it hurt?
 Im scared!

Siouxsie 06-03-2007 04:48 PM

no its fine dont be scared

Lauren 06-03-2007 04:51 PM

Is this BCG?
Or Polio?

Anyway, seriously - the worst part is worrying about them. They always last a second and then you always think "Er... is that it?" cos you've worked yourself up too much.

BigSister 06-03-2007 04:53 PM

LMAO!

I heard all those horror stories before my BCG but it was fine  Stop scaring people Soph :nono: Haha

Bells 06-03-2007 05:30 PM

I had them last year I think, and I've got some more coming up really soon!

I wouldn't worry about them at all really. I mean, I don't mind them personally, but if you are scared I can honestly say the actual needles and going through the process is really quick and doesn't hurt. There is a slight possibility it might hurt afterwards for a bit but that's about it. So you should be fine!

andybigbro 06-03-2007 05:35 PM

I was meant get the BCG last year but we didnt i think that the nurse said that we didnt need it or something.

You had a lucky escape then!
I still have the 6 needle dots marked on my arm, and a giant lump from the jab.

 I know. But I'm scared they'll throw them out of nowhere.

Ouch, you still have them?

Yea. Schools are evil, they tend to do that. I think I have an injection in school in a few weeks, don't know what for though!

Yea I have 6 tiny dots (that doesn't hurt, it's like a stapler going into your skin) and a lump on my arm, it still hurts sometimes, if someone hits it.

Ouch. Glad I haven't had that done then.

The BCG didn't hurt much. The after pain was horrid though

I give blood every 4 months, that hurts more.

Sophii3x 06-03-2007 05:55 PM

BCG hurts when they inject you can feel the needle going in and the pain is BAD after you leave the room.

Crystal-Rose 06-03-2007 05:58 PM

The BCG didnt hurt that much
it just stinged a lil bit when they
put da stuff inn :conf2: lol!

They have stopped it doing them now anyway

~Kizwiz~ 06-03-2007 06:04 PM

I bloomin well hate injections. I always go weak at the knees. And giving blood...... dont even go there. My vanes seem to disappear when a needle is present :bored:

Really helping SOPH!!!! lol :conf2:
Well everyone says it hurts going in and after. And everyone tryes to punch you in the arm. Knowing my luck that will be me.

Ill probably start having a giggling fit before it though lol. I always laugh when in nervous.

Lauren 06-03-2007 06:11 PM

Lmao Emilee, try not to let anyone punch your arm afterwards cos it means the scar is bigger - forever

I had 3 brothers living at home when I had mine done, and it got punched at least 3 times everyday :bored: LOL

As I can remember..... and its been a while since I had it, it didnt hurt. The 6 needle test is easy and the BCG itself just feels a bit uncomfortable. Its afterwards that your arms aches a little. But the build up is far worse in my opinion. Mind you I did almost faint but not due to the pain.

~Kizwiz~ 06-03-2007 06:13 PM

The main thing about BGC is not picking the scab that forms afterwards. if you do then you will be left with a scar

Corkie 06-03-2007 06:14 PM

Had my BCG in year 7 it was fine though. Until I was getting changed the towel got caught on it and ripped off. Blooming hurt!!

Crystal-Rose 06-03-2007 06:14 PM

They dont do the BCG anymore they stopped it last year.
didnt it :conf2:
