I had my first prick today!!

I thought that title would be a bit of an attention getter:laugh:
Just to let all you lovely people who gave me such good advice regarding having/not having the injections into my eye. Well I did it. Luckily the waiting time isn't long and this morning I had the first injection. The next is in six weeks time.
It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. In fact the worst bit was having the disinfectant stuff put in my eye, that stung like a bugger. But the injection itself I hardly felt and it really was a two second job.
So now I can reccomend to others to go for it if you ever need that kind of treatment.
Thanks once again for all the support you Tibbies gave me.:wavey::wavey:

...reality is very rarely as scary as our thoughts are, Jenny...those head monsters, eh...our worst enemies in trying to scare and disable us with these things...but hawwww, I'm really proud of you little lady.....there is no down side to doing this and you won't regret it......(don't forget the large size screen TV though...)...that's definitely a must....

Northern Monkey 19-10-2016 11:01 AM

Well done:clap1:

Glad it went well and was fairly painless(apart from the disinfectant obvs).

Thankyou Northern Monkey:wavey: I think the disinfectant is a ruse. While you are thinking about that you don't see the needle coming.

Thanks Cherie, yes they are awful, but as I just wrote to Northern Monkey, I think they use them as a distraction too, because while I was thinking 'Bugger me, that stings' she was in and out with the needle!!

now you have had your first prick and it is done and dusted - you now won't fear any future pricks :joker:

Meant to reply to your other thread the other day to wish you well, so very glad it all went well for you Jenny. You deserve some :flowers:

caprimint 19-10-2016 12:53 PM

Glad you decided to go for it in the end and it was relatively okay. Sometimes the thought of things can be worse in our minds than the reality as Ammi said.
