Good on you Zac.

This is a matter for those badly affected likely by this proposal.
I can see the point of a new runway but it needs the full support of those close to and probably the worst affected if it goes ahead. I do however totally admire and commend Zac on sticking to his word on this,he has been consistent all through and that is really good to see, an MP of total conviction towards constituents fears and concerns. I think he is a good MP and decent guy anyway. |

What business wants business gets, the Britain is open for business....but shut for everyone else.

People on the radio moaning about the noise and proximity in their houses they got cheap because of the noise and proximity
:idc: |
Well i think there needs to be a new runway somewhere. The problem is that most airports are near residential areas so wherever it's built there's going to be some people not happy.
|
Yes however the rules then may have been residential areas must be a certain distance from the airport, if the airport is expanded the airport gets closer.... they can't pick their house up and move it, perhaps they wouldn't have bought initially had it been as far as it will eventually be? They will also be affected by the resale value.

Zac has now Resigned
ByElection on the way. Zac will stand as a independent |

I wonder if this'll get the same "the tories are falling apart!!!" coverage in the media that Labour keep getting

Yes he has |
Ch4HD News just confirmed
the Conservatives are not putting any one up against him. So he can Win as a Independent. So it will be Zac Vs LibDems in the new by-election |

I do however blame his party more than him for that, of what I know of Zac, that is not his way of fighting any election. Politics sadly is very nasty and really dirty at times,I have come across really bad and thoroughly nasty campaigns by the LibDems and also my own party Labour too. Equally so from the SNP in Scotland against Labour too. This is an issue Zac Goldsmith has stayed solid on all through and clearly intends to remain so. He has not totally supported his government on everything and is prepared to listen to others too. I do admire that conviction in any MP no matter what party they represent. I wish he had spoken out against the campaign for Mayor. he didn't and that was a bad error on his behalf to go with the party line of the campaign. Speaking only for myself as it seems I need to point that out regularly on here now,I am not however going to hold one rotten campaign against him. Especially when he campaigns on important issues and seeks to deliver promises he made to his constituents, even against his own party and government. |
Why aren't Labour standing?
It doesn't really make a difference anyway because he's a Tory at heart. |
