Are the shots of mirrors, DR button etc edit points?
 

When HMs are talking in the Diary Room, we sometimes see shots of the DR button, the mirrors near the door, and other things. Are these where the footage has been edited, so we don't have to see jump cuts? Or are they just so we have something to look at rather than someone talking?

Sometimes it's so they can cut clips together without it looking like a jump cut but also sometimes it's just to cut away from a really long clip
