Fifth Harmony's Lauren Jauregui has come out as bisexual in a powerful and emotional open letter to supporters of US president-elect Donald Trump.

The singer addressed the letter on Billboard to "every single Trump supporter trying to say that voting for Trump does not mean that you are racist, homophobic, sexist, xenophobic assholes".

"Your words are worthless, because your actions have led to the single-handed destruction of all the progress we've made socially as a nation," she continued.

"You have, with your pure ignorance and refusal to understand the way the government and the world works, allowed a power-hungry business tycoon to take over the United States of America.

"The land of the free, the home of the brave, under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for ALL. You are HYPOCRITES."

Lauren added that Trump became their "champion" as he "spoke to the parts of you that think you are superior to the rest of us", before coming out as bisexual.

"I am a bisexual Cuban-American woman and I am so proud of it. I am proud to be part of a community that only projects love and education and the support of one another," she announced.

"I am proud to be the granddaughter and daughter of immigrants who were brave enough to leave their homes and come to a whole new world with a different language and culture and immerse themselves fearlessly to start a better life for themselves and their families."

Wow that is a very delusional and spiteful message that this lady has put out and she will reap a backlash for sure mark my words. That, in my opinon, is a very immature and poorly thought out statement and I am sure her record company and pr people will be pulling their hair out and will have told her many times I am sure not to use social media when drunk or on drugs? For me this is career suicide. Good luck to her but she has made a mistake and maybe should have her phone confiscated?
