The advance isn't actually paid to the winner like a lottery win it's to cover travel costs, recording sessions and basic expenditure.

In Little Mix's book they say they never started earning until DNA did well.

I base my opinions on talent not nationality so Saara is the winner for me

I think something changed with the prize money because Sam Bailey said she was skint during her x factor time and before her album came out she has a new kitchen (which is expensive)
