Scareltt did not pay off her parents mortgage

I must say it did sound a bit strange bearing in mind she works as a part time dj on a small music station.

Well she did give them the money for the mortgage but they gave it back and put it in her bank and she doesn't know about it.

Crimson Dynamo 30-11-2016 05:44 PM

I think she was embellishing tbh

sampvt 30-11-2016 05:45 PM

OH Pleeeeeze hand me the sick bucket. Its all a scam guys. The tart is so calculated she now has her mum and dad involved. Makes me sick, get the tart out and back home.

sampvt 30-11-2016 05:51 PM

does she save sick puppies as well and have a subscription to the big issue as well

Marsh. 30-11-2016 06:01 PM

She still gave them the money. She just doesn't know they didn't pay the mortgage with it and have put it in an ISA for her.

Did she have any idea what was left on the mortgage (I would say highly unlikely), did she tell them to use it to pay off the mortgage (doubtful) so really she just gave them some money and then tried to make her self look good to some people on tv?

Im not saying thats bad, we all say sh1t like that when we are young but it was showing off to get "likes"

I know what's left on my mum's mortgage. It's not a secret. :umm2:

incorrect. She had no idea what the final mortgage payment would be. In order to establish that they would have had to contact their lender and ask for a pay-off figure and that could have led to penalties. So she would have had to ask her parents to contact the lender and ask for a settlement figure and then wait till that was given (not quick) and then they would have told her and then she would have given them but that did not happen according to her story.

If a borrower wants to repay their mortgage before the end of its term – they will have to repay the capital amount outstanding plus any interest accrued up until the point at which they repay, plus any associated fees and charges associated with redemption and early repayment related to their particular mortgage contract.

Lenders will clearly set out terms up front in the KFI regarding early payment charges and will give out a redemption statement (the amount outstanding on a particular date) on request by the borrower.

its not that simple with many mortgages

What's that got to do with anything? She clearly gave them the money she's earned from her recent fame, magazine deals/tv work etc and helped her parents out.

sampvt 30-11-2016 06:19 PM

She probably came home pissed up one night with a kebab and a love bite and gave them 3k to put towards their mortgage. They didnt put it there as they probably have more pride so they saved it for her to stop pissing it up against the wall. That sounds more to the truth.

Im guessing that a special private thing like helping your mum out would be very embarrassing for them if it got out, so you need to ask yourself why she told 10 million people about it.

The article clearly states she left her parents the cheque with a thank you note, can you not read or didn't you read it? The titles suggests she is lying but she has no idea that her money she gave them is in her bank account.

no, she earned no money from gogglebox, her parents did (and its very modest), as far as i am aware she has done no paid tv work or magazine deals apart from having a few pics of her boobs in the DM. Unless you know different?

How did she lie? she THINKS she paid it off she has NO idea it's in her account because her parents put it there instead of paying their mortgage with money she gave them via a cheque.

sigh, she did not know what the final payment was, she did not know if they did, she just gave them money and "thought" they may do that perhaps

You clearly are trolling or something Marsh has already said a mortage isn't a secret, I know how much my mum has left, he knows how much his mum has left, other people know how much their parents have left. it's simple but you are just desperate.

Yes she has. Who mentioned Gogglebox? She's done a few TV shows (leading up to I'm a Celeb which I'll assume pays very generously) and she always has interviews in OK magazine and on the radio. She'll have earned a decent amount in the last 3 years.

Jack_ 30-11-2016 07:01 PM

Good God it's like on season all over again with the desperation to paint some people off a reality TV show as vile evil scummy charlatans

Like I actually think she's overrated but who cares

smudgie 30-11-2016 08:04 PM

What a lovely thing to do.
Obviously a close and loving family.
