Christmas traditions

Do you have any?

New Christmas PJs for everyone on New Years Eve

Josy 01-12-2016 12:36 PM

A couple...

We open our presents at midnight, with a cuppa or hot chocolate and some nibbles.

We buy extra little stocking gifts for each other and always add a few jokey type ones

I get an updated Whisky Bible each year and read it on and off on the day and smoke a cuban after my meal. I also get the Private Eye and Spectator xmas specials from exmrs LT and she still buys me it :)I always listened to Ed Stewpot Stewart in the morning but like most celebs he died this year

:bawling:

11.30pm Christmas eve, I always watch the Trailer Park Boys Christmas special, which takes me nicely into midnight mass.

Crimson Dynamo 01-12-2016 12:56 PM

I also always get the Christmas radio times

:flutter:

I always watch The Polar Express around 11pm on Christmas Eve with a nice cup of hot chocolate.

A take away at about 7 in new PJ's

I want to start a tradition next year of saving those free coffee tokens from mcdonalds and going on christmas eve and getting loads of hot drinks for the homeless in town

New PJ's on Christmas Eve.
Takeaway on Christmas Eve (breaking that this year cos mam's doing a buffet)
Mam and dad always have to do a pot of tea and get the fire going/Christmas music channel on before me and my sis go down to open prezzies on Christmas morning (it feels a bit weird at my age but wouldn't want to ruin the magic for my sister)

armand.kay 01-12-2016 11:30 PM

Baileys hot chocolate

armand.kay 01-12-2016 11:32 PM

Family members visiting us for a few hours to give us presents and enjoy the buffet then moving on to see everyone else

Jake. 02-12-2016 10:42 PM

up around 9ish, stick the kettle on, me and mum do gifts, she makes me a bacon sandwich which I consume whilst she has a bath/gets ready, we go to one of my aunts for dinner and after that we all go to my other aunts for more presents/drinks/games etc, go home about 1

Jack_ 02-12-2016 11:16 PM

We have a countdown clock in our dining room so just before midnight we stand around and count it down, although I missed it last year cause I went to the pub :joker:

Then wake up around 6:00-6:30 and put Radio 1 on the TV while we're opening presents to listen to whoever's doing Christmas Day breakfast

Around 8am we have pancakes for breakfast. I think this'll be the third or fourth year we do it? It was a random idea one year that we specifically agreed to turn into a 'tradition'

Oh and I agree with the Radio Times Christmas special, we do all the highlighting and **** too
