Matt Terry has apparently been snubbed by Sam Smith.

As the final draws near, producers are hoping to hook up the final three with big name talent to perform their duets with.

After wowing viewers with a performance of Writing On The Wall, it's thought that bosses hoped Sam would take to the stage with Matt if he makes it through this week.

"Matt’s best performance of the whole series was singing Writing’s On The Wall. Sam loved his version so it seemed the perfect plan to put them together," a source told Daily Star.

However, despite bigging up Matt on Twitter, it's been suggested that Sam has no interest in appearing alongside the star in the final.

“There’s still a slim chance but it doesn’t look like it will happen now," added the source.

It comes after Matt spoke about how Sam had been kind to him following his performance of the Bond track.
