Louis Tomlinson will be going ahead with what was said to have been a surprise performance on the X Factor this Saturday evening.

While social media is flooded with well wishes from One Direction fans, there has also been talk that Louis will honour his late mother, Johannah Deakin, by returning to the stage which made him a global star.

Louis has indeed decided to go ahead with his performance on the X Factor final on Saturday as it was his mother's dying wish he accepted the long-standing engagement.

"Louis (Tomlinson) had been scheduled for some time to make a surprise performance on The X Factor this weekend. This was something Johannah had been looking forward to and it was her wish that this go ahead - Louis has therefore decided to proceed with this for her," a source said.

It's a bit soon though I admire his dedication but he needs to take a break from the media to deal with it

I don't think so his mum wanted him to perform so it's honouring her wishes, that will get him through

He should really grieve, there is no reason for him to perform, its hardly a big deal nor has anyone paid money to see him.

People deal with grief differently, a lot of times people need to keep busy initially or else they'll totally crack up
