Zara Tindall and her husband Mike Tindall have announced the heartbreaking news that they have lost their baby.

The royal couple were expecting their second child after announcing Zara's pregnancy this November.

A spokesperson confirmed today's sad news, saying: "Very sadly, Zara and Mike Tindall have lost their baby. At this difficult time, we ask that everyone respects their privacy."

The Queen's granddaughter and the former England rugby player already have a daughter, Mia, who will turn 3 years old next month.
