I missed the series they were in so apart from hearing the name now and then I have no clue who they are and what they did

They were on a popular MTV show (in modest terms, since popular and MTV are conflicting terms) The Hills and now they've been so absorbed by the Hollywood machine that they're scarily codependent on one another and their agents and publicists etc.

Don't take anything they do as being them, they're incredibly fake.

They also refused to do all the tasks in their series too

They are a pair of spoilt brats that are nasty with no friends, in love with money and know that some factions of the public like mahem which they can supply in bucket loads. Spencer is a control freak and Heidi suffers with Stockholm syndrome that means she falls for her abductors charms. Basically they are a pair of talentless twats that found a niche in the reality market and are as fake as a nine bob note and very unlikable. She isnt allowed friends and he doesent want any.
