Ed Sheeran - Divide (breaks about 299 records - 16 songs in the UK Top 20)

Two new songs out today, occupying #1 and #2 on iTunes, and most likely going to bore us to tears by the end of 2017, but hopefully they're good. *goes to find*

Shaun 06-01-2017 05:11 PM

*ignores Shape of You and pretends the other one was released on its own*

Denver 06-01-2017 05:14 PM

Can he not

DouglasS 06-01-2017 05:32 PM

I love Ed Sheeran he's so talented.
Ed and Adele are the only people in the UK that just have that level of stardom that can reach a ridiculous level of sales within seconds of new material being released.

They really are the two names that will be throw about for the 2010s music period for history [UK wise].

I really like Shape Of You. I still think he's an overrated, generic bot who doesn't deserve his major success though.

Glenn. 06-01-2017 06:49 PM

Both are boring as hell and do not deserve the creaming of knickers it's receiving.

He's not in control of the success though is he. The fans are.

The people who push his videos up into multi-million views on YouTube.

The people round the world who love his music.

Preach it

MB. 06-01-2017 07:44 PM

I'm shook at neither of them being acoustic ballads

Cal. 07-01-2017 12:23 PM

I like Shape of You but haven't listened again since it'll still probably be in the Top 20 this time next year.

Tom4784 07-01-2017 12:49 PM

Both are ultimately dross but the second one is more listenable than the first.

DouglasS 07-01-2017 01:37 PM

Castle on the Hill is AMAZING. It's coming for TiBB's top song of 2017.
It's probs my fave song of the past few years

Jordan. 07-01-2017 10:04 PM

He peaked with Don't

LukeB 07-01-2017 10:07 PM

I love shape of you the most but Castle on hill is also good.

Cal. 08-01-2017 03:18 PM

A positive to both of these is that they've ended the possibility of another number one week for Rockabye and it'll hopefully **** off out of the top 10 soon.

Firewire 08-01-2017 03:20 PM

Ew at both

LukeB 10-01-2017 11:55 AM

He is for sure going to be number 1 this friday with impressive sales and a chart record. Both songs have sold more than 100,000 so he will be #1 and #2.

Nancy. 10-01-2017 12:52 PM

I really don't get the hype over this fool. His music is so boring. Zzzzz

Black Dagger 11-01-2017 03:26 PM

Hate them now. 4 ****ing times at work today. Each

Shaun 11-01-2017 03:41 PM

CotH is so much better it hurts that it'll lose the chart battle.

Other one is basically Cheap Thrills vs. Love Yourself

LukeB 13-01-2017 09:24 PM

Shape of you - #1
Castle on the hill #2

Shape Of You notched up 227,000 combined sales this week, made up of 137,000 downloads and 13.4 million streams, while Castle on the Hill managed 194,000 combined sales, split between 120,000 downloads and 11.07 million streams.

Ross. 13-01-2017 09:26 PM

I don't like Castle on the Hill, Shape of You feels uneventful
