Would you get involved?.....

I love watching Bb but sometimes I just don't understand how some people sit listening to a conversation and fail to get involved.
When Angie was lecturing Colleen about smoking yesterday, Jasmine and Jamie were both pulling faces at each other as if to say 'who does she think she is'....I wouldn't have been able to help myself speaking in Coleens defence and telling Angie that she's a 50 year old woman and its up to her what she does.
When Austin got angry with Speidi regarding the water...why didn't anyone else speak up and say to Speidi "it's not all for you" because we all know they were thinking it...

My point is I couldn't just stand there and say nothing if I had an opinion...and I don't consider myself controversial....just open and honest.
Anyone else feel that way...or do you take the stance of ' it's not my arguement'?

It depends how long I'd been there, so early on I would most likely just roll my eyes at Angie but later on I'd tell her not to preach.

The Austin situation I would side with Speidi and tell him it's just water and when he was in Heidi's face I would tell him to back off, although he'd probably physically attack me because I'm a woman. Hopefully one of the men would defend me - he wouldn't go for a man.

Yeah, as a subject it's something that really bothers me and is definitely an issue I would be comfortable expressing my opinion on. Especially so, in a circumstance where I have to live with that person - no matter how much of a stranger they are to me.

Interestingly, a few of my flatmates during my first year of university would constantly monitor what I ate and what I cooked. They were all very capable of cooking, but it was something that was new to me and they made the situation an ordeal. I love fast food and enjoy ready meals. I'm not someone who is a 'clean-eater' (what a load of nonsense anyway) or a health freak, but my flatmates would look down on me because of what I chose to eat. It was quite disgusting actually and made me somewhat uncomfortable - so I think that's were it comes from. That experience has just caused me to become quite outspoken about it.

I would have told Angie to shut the **** up tbh, especially once she started going on about Colleens sister.

Vicky. 07-01-2017 02:51 PM

Also I do not understand the fuss about the water at all tbh. If I was in the house, I would just fight fire with fire and next time there was bottled water, hide a few bottles for myself. Or...just use tap water. I wouldn't have ghot involved in the raging Austin thing as it seemed Heidi was perfectly capable of standing her own in the face of an aggressive goon.

Good for you. I never used to say boo to a goose when I was younger but having worked with the public all my life and had my nice nature taken advantage of on many occasions I now stand up for what I believe in...don't suffer fools lightly and stand up to anyone who I think is a bully or out of order.

I wouldn't have got into an arguement over the water...just made a point of telling them it's there to share not to hoard.
However, like you I would play them at their own game because they all know they are doing it deliberately.

...like in life...it's often easier to keep ones head down and say nowt

I would at least ask why is she going on at coleen when other people around her are smoking but she isnt saying the same thing to them?

However when she started talking about coleens kids I dont think I would be able to keep my mouth shut I would tell her shes crossing a line and then be angry at myself for defening coleen. Actually i'm surprised she took it herself and didnt tell her to **** off.

I'm exactly the same. I would never want to offend anyone even in the slightest, but sometimes you just have to get your point across.

Northern Monkey 07-01-2017 03:18 PM

If it's a one on one tiff I tend to stay out of other peoples bs unless it starts getting nasty. If someone was being picked on by a few people then i'd step in to help them though.

Vicky. 07-01-2017 03:25 PM

Infact, when I was watching it..I remember saying to my husband that if she was going on at me like that, I would say something along the lines of 'well too much plastic surgery is bad for you also'

MTVN 07-01-2017 03:40 PM

Basically everyone refuses to say anything to Angie in case it offends Callum

Probably wouldn't have bothered getting involved with the water argument because it wouldn't bother me that much. By the time Austin involved himself Bianca had already found all the water and shared it out so not sure why he started rooting around their bed as well

jaxie 07-01-2017 03:42 PM

If I thought someone was being rude or out of line then for sure I'd speak up but also you have to respect that people might not want your input. Colleen is a grown up and is perfectly capable of saying anything that needs to be said.

Cherie 07-01-2017 03:56 PM

In rl yes, but in a game show you choose your battles especially if you want to avoid nomination

Niamh. 07-01-2017 04:02 PM

Oh God yeah I would absolutely have to say something, my thinking would be very similar to yours Rusticgal

Withano 07-01-2017 04:18 PM

Im exactly the same, there is no way (as a smoker ) that I could or would have sat and listened to Angie lecture a grown woman, Mother and Grandmother in the way she did ,and I would have thrown her in the pool if I had heard her drag up Coleens dead sisters to make a point ..... No one had the guts to defend Austin ,or even tell Spiedi they also were pissed off about the water
