Was he being over sensitive?

I think he clearly understood what Coleen was doing..trying to make Jamie feel good about himself...but decided to make it about him and his reputation.
I like Calum...but I think he was OTT about it and has made himself look a bit of an idiot.
Thoughts??

Cherie 08-01-2017 09:30 PM

Yes over sensitive, what exactly does he do for a job?

Jake. 08-01-2017 09:31 PM

i mean idk, is being told that you're "one night stand" material nice to hear?

Jake. 08-01-2017 09:31 PM

his reaction was OTT though

joeysteele 08-01-2017 09:32 PM

Yes in my opinion.
Then again since it appears it is Coleen who has upset him and his moan is at her, that is fine by me.

Marsh. 08-01-2017 09:32 PM

Of course it was. Just like his reaction to "Stick it up your arse" in 2015.

He's so insecure about appearing less than a stand up guy it's pathetic.

The guy known for shagging around and giving no sh*ts being offended is slightly off though.

Vicky. 08-01-2017 09:33 PM

Yes of course

And the reason for that is he has spent ages trying to get away from the playboy image and paint himself as a saint. Its all an act

He showed his colours in his last series too after acting the saint

Jason. 08-01-2017 09:33 PM

Yeah.

He's famous for being a lothario and his reaction tonight just let out all his arrogance.

true

Cherie 08-01-2017 09:35 PM

How has he worked his arse off for the last 7 years to shed his bad boy image  where are the wife and 2.5 children? :umm2:

Amy Jade 08-01-2017 09:38 PM

He's literally only known for his bed hopping so yes it was.

I suspect he doesn't like the fact he isn't everyones favourite wont help though he's got a massive ego.

MTVN 08-01-2017 09:39 PM

Not that much really because he was right. Coleen tried to disparage him as her way of comforting Jamie and he realised that. He's obviously aware that he is being pitted against Jamie which he's uncomfortable with and he's also aware that part of his fame is based on his reputation as a player which is an image he'd rather get rid of and not reinforce.

He might have been a bit sensitive but its not as though he caused a blazing row over it, he just muttered a few comments and then walked away from the situation to vent privately in the Diary Room

Withano 08-01-2017 09:42 PM

Obviously he's like 30 odd. Get a grip lad.

Well he has built himself that reputation and in the 10 years he has been trying to put it right...he has failed to settle down and that's surely not because he is short of attention.
Maybe he just hasn't met the 'right one'....

Even tonight he mentioned on 2 occasions his 'lothario' image....and then gets upset with Coleens comments.
Unfortunately with that reputation...one he has clearly enjoyed...however respectful you might be...however nice you might be to take home to mum and dad...most mums/dads would probably advise their daughters to steer well clear.

It's a shame...perhaps he does want to settle down but let's face it by his own admission he went in there to have a bit of fun..and although Jasmine may be throwing herself at him..he ain't saying NO is he???

I honestly don't know how that's disparaging someone though. Is it a world away from the "shag, marry, kill" game people play all the time?

It's all about context. If she was being negative about him and said "Oh he's only good for a one night stand", then I'd see an issue but that's not what was happening at all.

They weren't playing a game where you have to choose someone for the 'shag' option though, Coleen just came out with it to try and give Jamie a boost at Calum's expense. There was no real need to even bring him into it considering Jamie was asking whether it was true that he was too nice, not whether Calum was more of a catch than him or anything

I see your point...but Jamie is obviously feeling a bit mugged off and being written off against Calum. Coleen sensed that as the root of his question which is why she responded in the way she did. As Coleen continued at no stage did Jamie stop her and say that wasn't behind his question...so I think Jamie was looking for that kind of reassurance.

Maybe so but in that case isn't Jamie being a bit oversensitive? Coleen's there going on about how she feels 'so sorry' for Jamie but I don't really see why he's deserving of that much sympathy just because - shock horror - he isn't automatically considered the most attractive and sought after male in the house

Tom4784 08-01-2017 10:30 PM

He was looking for a storyline.

jet 08-01-2017 10:46 PM

He has one hell of a fragile ego to actually care what Colleen Nolan thinks.

rionablue 08-01-2017 10:52 PM

Colleen should mind her own shagging business. Let the younger housemates get on with whatever they want to be Dont take sides. I am not a Callum fan by the way
