Lights Out vs Don't Breathe
 

I want to watch a horror tonight and although I'm debating watching both, which is better? (no spoilers please)

Lights Out is crap

Don't Breathe is really good

I haven't seen Lights Out but Don't Breathe is the best horror film of 2016 and one of the best this decade (not that there's much competition) but yeah Don't Breathe >>>

The only good points about Lights Out are Teresa Palmer and Maria Bello.

The cast is great though

Don't let the fact that it's a Western put you off, it has all the elements that make a classic horror movie. If you love gore then you will be SHOOK at one of the deaths

Btw Marc Eden Lake was amazing. (Ik it came out like a decade ago but I just remember you and Jamie talking about it a few months back and I finally saw it yesterday)

One of my favourite horrors tbh. It's honestly so tense when she finds herself in the house at the end :worry:

i guess because it isn't really a horror movie lol like it's more thriller

I think that's why I enjoyed it lol. It was suspenseful and gripping throughout and it felt like a big chase scene to me. I guess it depends on what you look for in a horror film. If you're a fan of the blood and gore, I don't think it's satisfying.

God Eden Lake is gross, both in the literal sense and in its contribution to a culture of working class youths being constructed as the folk devil of the middle class

(sorry, idk why I'm in this thread cause I hate horror films but I was forced to watch that so had to comment)

eden lake is part of the torture porn genre imo so it's automatically garbage
